There was a knock on the door to the room Lily was thrown into. Slowly, after no response the door creaked open and the head of a black haired teenager poked into the room. "You were never good at knowing who to surround yourself with." Lily said, catching a glimpse of the girl from the corner of her eye. Raina sighed and stepped into the room fully before closing the door. "Negan saved my life." Raina finally said. But Lily hardly recognized her voice.

When Carl and Raina were kids, Dory and Lily would take them out for hours to do whatever they wanted. On runs they would always bring back comic books and chocolates for them to snack on under the dim light of a candle in their shared cell. But the girl in front of her now was not the Raina Lily once knew. When Lily didn't say anything the girl continued on. "He saved me from my own father, someone who didn't care if I lived or died - he saved Dory too." Lily finally looked to the teenage girl.

"So what exactly, he 'saves' you and you're stuck here forever?" Lily asked. But she was mad, Negan didn't save her he took her. If he had just left them alone she would be in the Hilltop right now making sure Maggie was okay. "Did you see Dory here? You're allowed to leave." Raina tried to explain.

"You mean you're allowed to leave, and Dory had to bribe him." Lily said making Raina sigh. Lily knew more than Raina thought she did about this place, the kneeling, the praise - it wasn't given because Negan was a good leader, it was given out of fear due to the man. One man creating a corrupt society, trying to rule what was left of the world. "You see what you want to see Lily.." Raina said quietly.

Lily shook her head. "Are you sure? Or are you stuck repaying a debt to a man who saved you from a situation you were trained to save yourself from?" Raina didn't know what to say to the woman, part of what she said was right but Raina chose to stay and live with the man who so quickly became like her father. "You can see it however you want Lily, I won't sit here and try to change your mind." The girl said before turning to leave the room.

When the teenager left, closing the door behind her softly, Lily left out a sigh. When Carl and Raina were growing up, Lily and Dory were always a little harder on them than the rest. They wanted them to succeed, to beat the odds and survive this world. Just because the world was falling apart didn't mean it would go easy on the kids, the two woman just wanted them to be prepared for everything ahead of them. It just so happened that Lily was stuck in her old ways, especially after they lost Dory and Raina in the falling of the prison. Lily was easier on Carl but she still made sure the boy would be ready for anything that came their way.

When they were kids though, it seemed like Raina wanted to do anything but train. She would wander away or hide in the depths of the prisons walls until Lily gave up looking for her. She never wanted to train, instead she wanted to escape the prison walls and follow behind Dory when she went hunting with Daryl. She wanted to learn how to survive off the land and Dory let her - something Lily and Dory always fought on was how to go about training the two kids.

The door to the room opened again taking Lily from her thoughts as she looked up to see Negan waltzing in. "You hungry?" The man asked making Lily turn away from him on the bed she sat on. "I don't want your food." She muttered. Lily wasn't going to fall into the ways of the Sanctuary. The first thing she would take is their food and water, then she has to start pulling her weight and owing Negan something for his 'kindness' towards her. Negan rolled his eyes at the woman's child-like behaviour and dug into the pocket of his jacket pulling out an energy bar. He threw it onto the bed beside the woman, noticing how she didn't even glance down to it.

The next thing to come, was a water bottle he had stuffed into the back pocket of his black jeans. "You'll thank me later. Get some rest Firecracker, you have a long day ahead of you tomorrow." He said before turning and leaving her alone once again. Two men stood outside the door talking to Raina who was trying to pass them.

"Hey hey, let the fucking kid through." Negan said making the two men stand back and let the girl through. She walked up and slammed something into Negans hand making him look down curiously. In the palm of his hand was an inhaler. "Daryl always held onto them for Lily because she would forget them in camp. When you get a dumbass like Dwight to search someone, maybe look over the shit he takes." Raina snapped before stalking off down the hallway to her bedroom where she slammed the door shut.

Negan looked up to the two men who stood before him. "The only people going in and out of this room are myself and Raina. Am I clear?" He asked sternly earning 'yes sir's in return. Shoving the inhaler into his jacket pocket the man turned on his heels and walked down the hallway in the opposite direction Raina went to go pay a visit to his wives.

Lily placed the water bottle and energy bar on the nightstand beside the bed before standing up and walking to the window. She stood up on the desk that was placed underneath it and peered outside. Below her was a drop that would kill her, and a bunch of men working in the yard below, keeping walkers at bay, unloading trucks and doing anything else that was useful for Negan. She sighed and sat down on the desk rubbing her hands over her face.

"How the hell am I getting out of here."
