Chapter 12: Before the Toughness Test

Sabriye, again, awakened to the sound of her alarm on her phone. Just when she was about to leave the spot where she slept, she noticed a clear material, nearly invisible, blocking her path. 'Plastic wrap, huh? Nice try,' Sabriye thought and used Scratch on the plastic wrap to slice it out of the way.

She then picked up the pieces of plastic wrap and walked towards the door. Abruptly, she stopped dead on her tracks and started fiddling with her watch. The next thing she knew, she heard Boboiboy's ringtone in the storage room. "I suspected you'd be here," Sabriye spoke up as faced Boboiboy, Fang and Gopal, whom were in the room, hiding the whole time.

Immediately, she cut the call on her watch. "Was the plastic wrap revenge for what happened yesterday morning?" She asked. Boboiboy, Fang and Gopal slowly nodded. Sabriye chuckled and responded, "Well, scratch that. It fell apart," adding a pun to it. The boys sweatdropped for a moment until Gopal spoke up, "You do puns too?"

"Yup. Don't like it? Deal with it," Sabriye made a comeback, making them groan. "Welp, better luck next time," Sabriye shrugged before walking towards the door. The minute she left, the boys were left there, dismayed. "Man, our plan really did fall apart," Gopal remarked, with the others nodding in agreement.

"Back to the drawing board, I guess," Boboiboy added before they headed out. After getting ready for the day, Sabriye was bored, even after walking down the halls in TAPOPS Station. Suddenly, she felt a little light bulb light up above her head and texted the gang to meet her at the arena through her watch.

A few moments later, the gang found Sabriye leaning against the wall, arms crossed. "Took you long enough," Sabriye remarked. "What do you need us for, Sabriye?" Yaya asked. Sabriye answered, "Just thought you'd like to have a little spar. Knowing Admiral, he most likely expects you guys to fight me."

The gang was flabbergasted. 'How did she guess that?' the gang wondered. "Are you sure, Sabriye? What if you get hurt?" Ying asked, apparently worried for Sabriye's safety. "Oh, quit being a worrywart! I'll be fine. Besides, a little spar wouldn't hurt, right?" Sabriye reassured. The gang glanced at each other and nodded.

"Alright, we'll spar you," Boboiboy concluded. They went into positions stayed in silence until, "Now!" The battle started. Fang was first to make a move by summoning his Shadow Tiger and let it charge towards Sabriye.

Suddenly, she caught them by surprise and used Double Team. Soon, the Shadow Tiger and the gang were seeing multiple Sabriye's. The Shadow Tiger snapped out of its trance and charged at one of them, only for 'Sabriye' to disappear the instant they came into contact with each other.

Fang's jaw dropped. "You thought I just multiplied myself, didn't you? Well, think again. I made illusions of myself," Sabriye explained the true ability of Double Team, her illusions copying her actions, and the gang could hear multiple voices of Sabriye ringing in the room. The rest of the gang then had their jaws dropped too.

While they were distracted, Sabriye quickly used Hyper Beam against the Shadow Tiger and Fang — the illusions following her move — causing the Shadow Tiger to disappear and Fang to fly to a wall. Yaya and Ying made the next move by using their combo attack.

Unknown to them, a bright green glyph appeared on the wall behind them and vines appeared out of it, wrapping Yaya and Ying's arms and legs and pulling them to the wall, without letting them escape. Sabriye's next opponent was Gopal, who was aiming his Molecular Shots at random directions.

It was no surprise that Sabriye dodged his attacks as she ran towards Gopal. She jumped all the way behind him, caught his shirt and landed on his back. Carefully, she used Scratch on Gopal's back, making him cry out in pain and run around in random directions, with Sabriye on his back as if she was having a piggy-back ride.
