Chapter 13: Toughness Test (Part 1)

In all honesty, Sabriye was nervous yet eager about the Toughness Test; her heart was pounding in her chest and she wasn't able to calm herself down. Just then, she had an idea. 'I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask them for it,' she thought. She sighed and did her thing.

She summoned a little bubble - about the size of her palm - and asked, "Gopal, can you turn this into a stress ball, please?" The gang looked at her baffled. Gopal responded, after a few seconds of silence, "Uhh, sure?"

Once the transformation was done, Sabriye thanked him and began squeezing it every second. 'Man, is she that stressed up about this?' the gang thought. Boboiboy was about to calm her down and bring her out of her current state but he and the rest of the gang were surprised to find Gopal doing the honours.

He placed a hand on her shoulder and started comforting, "Hey, don't get stressed up about this. I know you're going to be just fine. I mean, you've got good powers, good tricks up your sleeve. Too good, in fact. So don't fret about the test. You'll be fine."

Those simple words seemed to calm her down as they brought a smile to her face. "Thanks, Gopal. I guess I needed that," Sabriye thanked. Gopal waved a hand at her bashfully and responded, "Nah, it wasn't much. I'm just simply returning the favour for the advice you gave me yesterday." Sabriye then brushed it off, saying, "Well, I'd do it for anyone."

It was only a matter of time when they noticed that Fang and Ying's smirks. Gopal and Sabriye furrowed their brows. "What's with the smirks?" Sabriye asked cautiously. "Oh nothing, just seeing how cute you guys are. You sure you don't have a thing for each other?" Ying asked cheekily.

Gopal and Sabriye felt their faces heat up as they avoided eye contact with them and covered their faces with their hands, trying to ignore the snickers from Fang and Ying. Admiral Tarung and Commander Kokoci finally arrived at the arena then. The gang and Sabriye saluted them as they moved on to you details of the Toughness Test.

"As you already know, Sabriye, this test will not be a simulation but instead be taken place on an actual planet. Your test will take place on Planet Voltaga and your goal is to search and rescue the Power Sphere, Electrobot. You may also encounter opponents along the way, meaning Boboiboy and the others will be there to fight you. That will be all for the Toughness Test," Admiral Tarung instructed.

(A/N: You can imagine how Planet Voltaga and Electrobot to look like. Sorry, I'm too lazy to draw it out for you. 😑). The gang were teleported to Planet Voltaga first to prepare themselves for 10 minutes. After they left, Admiral Tarung noticed Sabriye's frown. She probably still thought she wouldn't stand a chance against them. It would make sense though. After all, they had more experience in battle than her.

Admiral Tarung approached her and placed a hand on her shoulder like Gopal did earlier, making her face him. He gave Sabriye a smile, like he always does in his white form, and that was enough to make her smile, showing that she got her confidence back.

After 10 minutes had passed, Sabriye was sent to Planet Voltaga and was immediately taken aback by the breathtaking view of the planet's environment. She then shook her head rapidly, getting it out of her system. "This is not the time to sightsee. I need to find Electrobot and get out of here," she muttered as she made her way to a nearby abandoned factory.

Observing the factory, she muttered, "Maybe this is it." Abruptly, she stopped dead on her tracks - and face-palmed. "Dang it, Midoriya! You really rubbed it off on me," Sabriye shouted to herself. Somewhere, in another universe, said green-haired boy sneezed abruptly. Ochako Uraraka noticed and asked, concerned, "Bless you. Are you okay, Deku? You're not getting sick, are you?" Izuku Midoriya nodded, "I'm fine" — muttering — "though I think someone's talking about me." (A/N: Yup, that's right, I mentioned Midoriya now. Hope you're happy, MHA fans. 😏).

Meanwhile, back on Planet Voltaga, Sabriye opened the door to the factory, which made a loud screech, and looked around with caution. Suddenly, she heard the sound of something being knocked over and raced to the scene to investigate. Upon arrival at what seems like an old office, she found metal arm behind the desk.

She walked around it and found what was needed to be found - Electrobot. He was shivering so much out of fear. When Sabriye took a step forward, Electrobot took a step back. In a hushed and soothing tone, Sabriye beckoned, "Hey, it's okay. I'm not going to hurt you. I'm here to save you. Don't worry, you're safe with me," squatting and lending out a hand to signal him to come with her.

Electrobot looked at her hand and looked back at her face, which had a soft and sweet smile. Seeing that smile made him feel safe and hesitantly took her hand. Confirming that he would definitely be safe with her, Electrobot flew to her and hugged her tightly, afraid that she would leave him if he let go.

Sabriye was taken aback by the sudden action but returned the hug anyway, with the same soft smile from earlier. Once she rose to her feet, with Electrobot still hugging her, her smile vanished as she heard footsteps right behind her. She turned her head a little bit and already guessed the gang's presence.

"Wow, what a coincidence. You're here too," Fang stated with malice in his tone and a smirk. Sabriye faced them completely with a frown that showed her coldness. "Coincidence? I think not," she scoffed. "Sabriye, give us Electrobot," Boboiboy ordered, lending out a hand. Sabriye, instead, held onto Electrobot protectively.

"Oh? And what makes you think that I will?" Sabriye responded with that hint of coldness she had in her and a raised eyebrow. The gang was taken aback by her tone and thought, 'Man, is she this cold to villains?' Snapping out of their thoughts, they ordered again to surrender Electrobot.

Electrobot looked up at Sabriye and was beyond fearful to see her look of defeat. "Fine," Sabriye answered as if she accepted defeat. That word alone brought shock and fear to Electrobot. She patted his head and gave him a tiny smirk. "On second thought... Nah!" Sabriye added as the smirk grew wider and used Swift against the gang, shattered the glass window, that was at back of the office, and jumped out of it.

Landing on the ground gracefully, she sprinted away from the abandoned factory - away from the gang. Little did she know that an old enemy of theirs appeared on the roof of the factory, noticing Electrobot in her arms, and followed her.
