They reached the main wing and Sabriye started to dial her mother's phone number. Luckily, Admiral Tarung knew she needed to make a video call. They needed to see the proof that she was indeed in TAPOPS Station. Before her mother could answer the call, Sabriye could already imagine how worried she would be.
Oh, wait, scratch that, Sabriye could already imagine how hysterical she would be. 'Worried', in this case, is a huge understatement, due to her mother being overprotective of her youngest child. When the call was finally answered, it was just as Sabriye expected - worried shouts from her mother.
Even her father was brought into this predicament. Of course, her father was just as protective as her mother. Once she explained what happened, sparing no grisly detail, Sabriye finally asked if she could join TAPOPS.
She was expecting both of her parents to think thoroughly and answer. However, she wasn't expecting her father to allow her right on the spot. Her mother's answer, however, was predictable - she declined. Because of this, an argument broke out between them, as predicted by Sabriye.
Everyone but Sabriye sweatdropped at this. Surely, this reminds Boboiboy, Fang and Gopal of Yaya and Ying fighting for first place. As for Sabriye, however, she was trying to contain her anger. However, she couldn't bear it anymore so it set her off.
"HEY!" Sabriye shouted and, as it echoed in the air, all eyes were on her. "ஏன் இதுக்கு சண்டை போடுகிறீர்கள்? Yes or no சொல்லலாம், இல்லை? Sabriye ended her monologue shouted in Tamil, a language that no one at the main wing, except Gopal, was able to understand.
Despite not knowing what she shouted at her parents, everyone was terrified, including the higher-ups. She looked like she would lash out at anyone who messed with her. After Sabriye cooled down, she apologised to her parents for shouting and allowed them to make a decision. Unsurprisingly, it took a long while for them to come to a conclusion.
Of course. It would make sense, since they are deciding if their youngest child was allowed to join an organisation that no-one in the family, besides Sabriye, is familiar with. Eventually, her mother approved, Sabriye thanked them for the approval and cut the call.
When she faced everyone else, she was surprised to find fright-filled faces staring at her. Obviously, she knew what they were scared about. "Was I that scary?" Sabriye asked with an eyebrow raised. Everyone else hastily nodded. In return, she muttered, "Man, I must've sounded like Nayanthara from Dora if they think that."
Everyone shared a glance and Gopal asked, "Is it true?" Sabriye gave him a questionable look, which asked for an elaboration. "I mean, the things you said to them, is it true?" Gopal elaborated. "Oh, that? That just came out in a flow. It's not entirely true," Sabriye answered in a casual manner.
Gopal sighed in relief and responded, "I thought it was all true. I mean, you said it yourself that they've been arguing about stuff for almost your whole life." Now all eyes were on him. "She said that?" Boboiboy asked in disbelief and received a nod from him as a response.
"Okay, enough about my anger issues. I've made up my mind; I'm joining TAPOPS," Sabriye announced with sheer excitement. The gang were glad that they were going to have a new recruit. Admiral Tarung told her that she would be going home to pack her stuff up before returning to TAPOPS Station.
A few minutes later, she found herself at home, packing up, with Ochobot helping her. After giving both her parents goodbye hugs, she returned to TAPOPS Station. Both of her parents thought about their decision and realised that they made the right choice.
Their daughter, their youngest child, was going to be a superhero. They knew she would do great things. They might have been anxious about her safety, but knowing that TAPOPS could be trusted, they allowed her to stay there with her new friends - friends that would look out for her and be loyal to her, despite the difficulties.
They were glad to have a superhero for a daughter - the first generation to be a great hero in the family.
______________________________________A/N: Hey guys, I know the ending of this chapter is real deep but, nevermind that. I know some of you readers wouldn't know the translation for the monologue that Sabriye shouted in Tamil so I'm going to give the translation here.
"Why are you fighting for this? You can just say yes or no, right? But what happened? A fight! What is wrong with you? You guys are fighting as if you are lawyers! If you fight like this, how will it help? I didn't tell you anything about this. So, I'm going to say it now. You've been fighting for almost my whole life! I couldn't take it anymore! Do you only know how to argue? Don't you get tired? See, even I'm doing it! Even I got tired! Would you like it if I were to do the same thing? Same case for me! Understood?"
I guess Sabriye went a little bit too rough there, don't you think? Anyways, hope you like it, thanks for reading this and stay tuned for more. I'll see you in the next chapter. Bye. 👋🏼
