3rd person P.O.V.

Akaashi walked out the front door leaving it open so that he could bring boxes inside. He made his way over to the moving truck and slowly undoing the clasp on the back of the truck, once he has that off he pens the back.

Bokuto's P.O.V.

I had just woken up and finished breakfast when I heard a ruckus coming from outside. I went to the windows to look and see what it was when I saw a moving truck parked in front of the house that was up for sale. I keep watching and eventually a boy around my age walked out, I couldn't get a good look at him so I don't know if hes someone who's moving from around here or its someone from out of town. It looked like the boy was doing all the work, his parents haven't come out yet but I highly doubt he lives alone. I rush up stairs hearing my mom call me to see what I was doing, I quickly got dressed and came back down to living room where my mom stopped me.

"Where are you going young man?" She said light/cheery tone, also giving me a smile. She seemed to be amused by my "hyperactive" personality.

"Oh, I'm going to go help the new neighbors move in! So far only their son has come out to move boxes." I basically yelled in my moms face from excitement. (This is absolute canon XD Bokuto of all people would be the one to yell at his mom because they were too excited)

"Okay, but don't over step their boundaries okay Kotaro?" She said, changing the tone in her voice in order to tell me that shes serious.

"Don't worry! I'll be very helpful to them, They can put me to good use, I want to make friends with the new neighbor so that I have another friend!" I exclaimed, just barely holding in my excitement, or at least what I managed to hold in.

"Okay, tell the neighbors that If they have any questions they can come by anytime, oh and invite them over for dinner!" In actual reality my mom was just a more mature and controlled version as me, she was just as excited.

"Will do, mom!" I finished tying my other shoe and stepped out the door, The neighbor boy was bring out a table on his own. I walked over and tried to keep my cool, a lot of people get surprised when I just show up really hyper and always say that I gave them a heart attack. I don't exactly plan on doing that to a potential new friend that's holding a heavy object, he could end up hurting himself.

"Need some help with that?" I asked in a calm voice. (I can't imagine him being the slightest bit calm out side of playing volleyball, so he only thinks hes being calm but in actual reality its easy to tell how eager he is XD -BTW that's how I do my laughing emojis)

"Uh..." The neighbor boy paused for a bit, probably contemplating on whether he should trust me. "Sure." His voice sounded plain, I couldn't read him. He seems very closed off.

"Great! Where do you want it?" I asked, grabbing the other side of the table so that I can help him bring it in.

"Inside of the house if you don't mind." He responded, but something was off, maybe I'm making him uncomfortable?

"That's okay, I came out here to help anyways, I figured you didn't want to keep doing this by yourself, since it looks like your parents are the ones unpacking." I explained.

"They are making me do all of this because I'm apparently stronger than them because I play a sport and that they are old." He sounded annoyed but it wasn't at me, honestly they remind me of someone.

I chuckled and the neighbor boy looked at me with a confused expression. "Oh, your parents just remind me of my dad, he used to act like that all the time, I guess it was his way of getting me ready for the real world, that or he was just plain lazy."

     "Used to?" He questioned.

"Oh, my dad passed away a little over a year ago." I gave him a soft and kind smile.

"Oh, sorry for asking..." He looked like he just saw a dead cat on the side of the road. (Not really Bokutos just dramatic)

"Nah It's all good, I'm not as sad about it, hes in a better place now, and I'd rather that than watch him suffer, it does hurt to see my mother cry over him though." I gave him another quick smile and started pulling the table in order to tell him that I was ready to move the table again.

He had us turn around once we got through the door, he led me over to the kitchen area and we placed the table over by the wall near the kitchen. It didn't take long for his parents to notice some stranger walking into their house.

"Keiji, who's this?" She questioned her son.

"This is..." He looked at me when he seemed to notice he never got my name.

"Oh, I'm Bokuto Kotaro your next door neighbor, it's nice to meet you ma'm. I saw your son moving this table by himself and I thought I should come and help out." I introduced myself giving a small smile, making sure to bow and show my respects.

"Okay, then, thank you for helping my son Bokuto." She almost seemed suspicious, I don't know what for though.

"No problem at all Mrs. eh." I also seemed to forget to ask his name.

"Mrs. Akaashi" She gave me their last name with a soft smile.

"No problem, Mrs. Akaashi." I finished the sentence I started.

"Okay, well why don't you two strong boys get back to work and I'll get you guys a treat afterwards." She offered.

"Really, you don't have to." I think she seems nice.

"Yeah, it's the least I can do for a helpful young boy like you."

"Oh that's right! My mom asked me to invite you guys over for dinner tomorrow as a welcome gift." I said excited to welcome my new neighbors.

"Well, tell your mom that we will be there." she smiled again.

For the rest of the afternoon I helped Akaashi move things into the rather large house. They had worked off a sweat carrying all of those boxes. By the time they were done moving the boxes it was almost dinner time. Akaashi's mother, who had left to go to the store, came back with groceries and a treat for me and Akaashi.

She passed me a small bag of Mochi, she kindly smiled at me and I bowed to show my gratitude. "Well, I should probably get going, dinner is most likely done and if I don't get back soon I'll probably get an earful. Thanks again for the Mochi, Mrs. Akaashi." I bowed again as Akaashi and his mother walked me out.

"Okay, and no need to thank me, I should be thanking you for helping us out, what a good young man you are. We will see you tomorrow, I can't wait to meet the goddess who raised such a nice boy." She gushed as she stood in the doorway next to her son.

"Okay, see you tomorrow Akaashi!" I waved goodbye as I ran back over to my house, of course it wasn't a long trip considering it was right next door.

Overly excited for tomorrow I scarfed down my food, got ready for bed and crashed, hoping that if I went to bed earlier than I usually do the time would fly by faster.

(Hey, hopefully your enjoying the story so far. I'm thinking about trying to make the chapters longer, and maybe even switching P.O.V. more, IDK let me know what you think? I'll do my best to meet you expectations. I hope you don't mind my little commentary, and if you do, don't be afraid to tell me what you think. Or even comment on ways for me to improve. Anyways, I hope you guys have a good day!)
