He's holding a ring that wasn't right for him to carry. "Why do you have my ring" I ask startled.

"Yes it's your ring but originally it belonged to my mom. This ring is the key to get out of here and to get back"

"How?" I ask. A little surprised and curious how this belonged to their mom and how it even was here all this time. It was locked behind my locker. And how could a ring help us get out of here.

I can see that he's annoyed by my question but decide to answer anyway "My father made it for her. This castle was build for her" he sighs but continue "She gave the ring to Elliot for his future wife." he gives me a broken-hearted look"Now the only person the ring works on is you"

I shake my head, trying to wrap it all together "What does that mean"

"It means you are the one who can open the portal"

"But you did it before by yourself" I exclaim?

"No, Xander had it put on you. You just couldn't see it, the ring can disguise itself. Father made sure to make that as a adjustment for reassurance" he say and rolls his eyes.

He takes my hand and ask "Can I". I wasn't sure what to say but I knew that if anyone should put a ring on me it sure wasn't him. I remove my hand from his and motion him to give me the ring.

He obliged and gives me the ring. I found that a little suspicious but took it on me. This was the first time I had it around my finger and the way it fitted and looked on me was beautiful. Their father had a great taste if we look pass his vendetta. I imagine Elliot giving me it on and the soft smile appearing on his lips if I said yes to his question few months back.

Everything is so different now. I look back at the ring to appreciate more of its beauty and details. I wasn't sure if I was hallucinating again but the rings symbols looked familiar? Something I had seen before a long time ago?

"Diane" he say urging and not so nice.

"What?" I look up confused and he runs his hands through his hair and I knew then I had pissed him off. He told me something as I was drifted away.

"Give me your hand" he demands cold.

I back away at his question "No?" but he wasn't questioning me, he commanded me. He move forward and grab my hand. I whimper at his rough hold and grip is wrist to push his hand away.

"Aperi nobis reducet terrae" William says in a foreign language that I couldn't bring myself to translate. I still try to escape his touch but he keeps repeating the same words while holding me close. Then a whirl of wind twirl in the sky and my actions stops.

The portal opens and I realize then that there was a safe word to enter. He looks at me before we step inside the portal. I was shocked so I couldn't really bring myself to do anything.

I feel the fresh wind breeze pass me and see the familiar blue sky welcoming us as soon as we step inside the portal. I could feel my body awaken by the familiarity and a smile paints itself on my lips. I take a step forward but get pulled back.

"You won't go anywhere without me. Everyone still think your dead and I like it to stay that way"

I narrow my eyes at his smirk and he pull me forward the forest we arrived in the first place. Xander is leaning against a car with sunglasses on and a black leather jacket. How did he knew we would be back? Can people communicate through the planet we were in with earth.

"What was the name of the planet we were in, called?" I ask William as we walk toward his chaperone.

He looks down at me and gives me a strange look. It was a normal question to ask.

"Regin Ara"

"That's a strange thing to call a planet but we weren't in a normal place either so it makes sense" I blurt out

He chuckles at my opinion, not that it was a joke or anything but this was the first time he actually laughed without cockiness placed in it. I smiled at him, his smile was beautiful and worth smiling back at.

No! He isn't nice he's awful!

I see him greet Xander with a hug and clap on the shoulder. Xander looks at me like he's happy to see me but I look away. Still not trusting him, he didn't do anything, when I was kidnapped to another planet.

"Hello, Diane" Xander says as William let's go of him. I narrow my eyes at him and walk away and inside the car.

I wait at the car as they "catch up" on whatever they are planing to do.

William doesn't sit at the backseat but decide to sit in the driver seat. Someone else opens the door and sit beside me: Xander.

He slides closer to me but I back further away. He takes me by the arm to learn down to whisper something in my ear. I feel his linger on me.

"I can help you get away" he whisper. I snap my eyes up to look at him and I was sure to find him some untrustworthy in his eyes but instead he's looking at me like something bad is gonna happen.

I nod and look straight ahead in warning. William would kill me if I tried. But I could die no matter what he said. Vampires aren't all immortal that's what Elliot told me. But I was willing to take the risk, everybody already thought I was dead. The escape won't change the outcome but only make it more true.

Xander follows me through the plan.

Xander's plan consisted that when the first stop arrived he would take William away from the car and inside the meeting they had to be present for. I nod as he tells me to go inside a white SUV car, his friend had parked 100 meters away from the building they had the meeting. The driver will be attending with them and I would be left at the waiting room. He warn to do it fast and unnoticed. I look up at him and gives him a appreciated smile and nod. He return the gesture and gives me reassuring squeeze.
I don't know what happen to him while I was gone but I wasn't questioning it. I was finally getting away and that was enough for me.

I stood at the waiting room, and glanced up at the paintings. Few meters away William and Xander were talking with the chauffeur about something. I wasn't close enough to hear what they were saying but didn't bother to care. After few minutes of discussing they walked inside, I looked at them and caught myself eye to eye with William. The eye look was warning and intimidating, I knew he wanted me to stay put but I wouldn't.

Enough was enough.

I exhale as they close the door following a nod from Xander. I take that as a cue to make a run for it. I follow the plan all the way and succeed on getting inside the white SUV. I slip inside the passenger seat and greet Xander's friend. We exchange our names and shortly after he starts the engine and drive off. There wasn't any time to be polite and I knew soon enough William would know I was gone.

I hadn't given him a destination but let myself believe that Xander already did and doesn't think more of it.

It doesn't take me long to realize that he was taking me to a cemetery. And we weren't visiting any grave. I found different members of my life standing at my fraud grave.

I got off the car in a rush and walked toward the big crowd of familiar faces. I could feel tears prickling in the corners of my eyes as I neared them but they shortly change to shock instead.

As I was walking I saw in a instant the person I was suppose to believe was dead.
