"Are you out of your mind? You can't start a war over something like this!"
Jimin was raging. He had only heard about the declaration of war that very morning and had demanded to see Yoongi immediately or at least as soon as possible. He was certain that the prince wasn't thinking properly when he heard him say it was because of-
"Taehyung isn't "something like this". I wanted to make him my queen yet they took him from me! That dirty mutt dared to mark him and now he has left the palace!"
"He left because you-"
"I wouldn't have done it if he hadn't shown up with a fucking mating mark when I was still waiting for his answer to my confession!"
"You still didn't have a right to do that-"
"Tell me, Jimin, why are you not mad? You were friends with Taehyung, you should want to take revenge too."
How could Jimin tell Yoongi that he had actually agreed on letting Taehyung help his human companion or whatever who was having his first rut after turning? There was always a big risk of the boy getting marked and Yoongi finding out would be obvious.
"What I'm truly mad at is for you declaring a war because of your own personal reasons! That's not something I'd want to see my future king do!"
"We have always been at odds with werewolves. War is inevitable even if it doesn't happen right now. Namjoon already gave me an okay."
That has to be a lie.
"What about Taehyung? You don't know where he is, what if he gets caught up in it?"
If Jimin could do anything to stop the war, he would.
"I've sent my best men search for him, hopefully they find him before the war. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to protect someone who has insulted me like that. It would just be waste to not drink his blood again."
Best men?
"Why didn't you send me?"
That's when Yoongi sent him the coldest gaze he'd ever felt, almost like there were fragments of ice being sprinkled on his skin.
"Don't you find it weird that Taehyung was able to leave the castle so easily?"
Shit.
"I'm not a complete fool, Jiminie."
Jimin straightened his back and looked him in the eye, showing a calm front.
"Apparently not, Your majesty. I beg you to rethink the war, however", having said that, Jimin took his leave. He needed to have a talk with Namjoon.

It's not that Yoongi had planned the war to happen so soon. He just needed to satisfy his immense thirst for blood. He had always craved for blood more than regular vampires since he was royal. Taehyung had only made that craving grow even stronger. And now the boy was gone.
He had really wanted to make him his queen. When he saw that disgusting mark that was tainting the beautiful honey skin, he had an uncontrollable urge to mark him as well. Yoongi had never considered himself to be possessive, but it was just another side of him that Taehyung had brought to light.
Taehyung had seemed to hate what he did to him. Maybe he was scared, maybe it was just pure disgust. Yoongi thought he would accept it with time, the thought of the boy fleeing had never crossed his mind. Maybe he was too used to getting what he wanted.
The pain in both his chest and the side of his neck was probably his punishment. Punishment for doing that to an innocent person whom he had fallen for but who couldn't reciprocate his feelings.
Even as he admitted on having acted wrong, he wouldn't take back the call for war. Whoever was responsible of that morbid mark would pay dearly.

Jungkook shivered. He felt threatened but when he looked around, he saw nothing dangerous.
"What is it?" Bambam had noticed there was something up.
"Nothing... Just felt weird for a second."
"Is it the bond again?"
"No, it's something else. Never mind that, are you sure we should sleep this close to the city?"
They had already passed Civitas rosis and Jungkook would have wanted to continue through the night but Bambam reasoned that they should rest.
"We're far enough. Just try to relax a bit and get some sleep."
Easier said than done. They had had to stop their run not once but twice today because of the pain in Jungkook's chest getting too much for him to handle. That could only mean that Taehyung was in trouble.
What the hell is happening to him?
There was no way he could rest before he found Taehyung and got some answers. Like why wasn't he in the city even though he was supposed to be there with the vampires. Bambam told him Taehyung had been in the castle, even. Why wasn't he there anymore?
The bond was leading him to the west. When he asked Bambam what to expect from that area, he mentioned sirens and centaurs. Dragons in the north, unicorns in the east. Werewolves in the south. The mention of dragons made him the most uneasy and he was glad Taehyung hadn't chosen to head north. If he even had chosen where to go himself.
Even with all of his worries, there was at least one ray of sun. Jungkook was relieved to feel that he was getting closer step by step. It meant that Taehyung wasn't in constant move, or at least was moving slow enough that he could catch up.
Jungkook was beginning to think whether or not it would be a good idea to mark him again once he found the boy. With the bond he could always find him if he were to leave again. Not that he was planning on letting him leave, he had had enough of that. He was going to try his best to get Taehyung to stay. Stay with him.
It felt so wrong to be separated, but maybe it was just the incomplete mating mark, the half-bond that got him to think like that. But Jungkook wouldn't question it, he knew that most of his feelings had already been there since a long time ago.
