**Zoey's POV**
The last few weeks have been great. I get to see Alexa basically everyday, she keeps me occupied and so I don't have time to dwell or sink in my thoughts.
Levi has been a good friend too, he texts me every night to know how I'm doing despite his busy schedule. No one has shown such care for me since I moved here.
I miss my previous home, I miss Nathan, school and basically everyone. We moved here when our house was taken from us forcefully and thankfully we had Grandpa's house left for mum.
I picked my phone and dialed Nathan's number he didn't answer the call so I texted him.
*Z: What's up Nate, you abandoned me 😒, I miss you. Call me when you see this"

I dropped my phone and prepared for work. Thankfully or not, mother and Carter are still asleep, they had too much to drink.
I walked up to their room, dropping two glasses of water and four tablets for their use, with a note that says
***Food is in he microwave, wake up and take these first, I'm off to work.

After dropping these, I left for work.

Work at the hospital was okay. I didn't stress myself because I need to save my strength for the restaurant. Miss Anna mentioned she would be having special guests today at her restaurant.
I would be serving their table. I would need enough energy to serve because these rich people would likely need everything, including someone to lead them to the bathroom.
I scoffed at my thoughts as I walked to the bookstore store. Hopefully Alexa would arrive soon to soothe my nerve.
Ding Ding
I took out my phone to read the message, it was from Nathan. Apparently he sent some
earlier, I just didn't see them, oh and four missed calls from him too.
*N: Hey Zoe, I didn't abandon you
*N: School has been really stressful, I would come over this weekend just to spend time with you, I promise
*N: You know you're the best bestie anyone could ever have
*N: You're not ignoring my messages now, are you?? I'm sorry...
I rolled my eyes and laughed, Nathan is crazy
*Z: How can anyone ignore the best of the best of the best bestie in the world? I'm sorry, I was busy with work and stuff. We have a lot to talk about, I can't wait for the weekend.
I could imagine him smiling at the praises while reading the message.
"Zoey" Alexa screams, running through the entrance.
"Hey Alexa", I grabbed her for a bear hug
"What did I say about running?", she looked at me with puppy eyes.
"Sorry I was just excited to see you" she said
"Awwn, how is--" I was cut off
"Hey" Levi said entering the bookstore
"Hi, what are you doing here? you're supposed to be getting ready for your dinner with in quote the witchest witch of the Nile" l laughed.
That's the name he calls someone he knows, I wonder who she is.
"Point of correction, the chief witch of the witchest witch of the Nile community" Levi said.
"Come-on, she can't be that bad" I stated as he looks at me in disbelief.
"Oh you don't know her" he said.
"Hey Zoey, can you tell me a story" Alexa said as she rushed out of the inner library.
"Alright--" I picked her up and put her on the counter, then glanced at Levi, he was smiling.
" There was a girl, a very beautiful girl named Rapunzel..."

...At the restaurant...
"Zoey hurry up, they will be here in a bit!" Anna barked.
"On it ma'am" I quickly set the table.
She insisted that I do all the work, but with a little help from Chris a co-worker. Thankfully Kayla assisted me a bit.
Miss Anna is seriously trying to impress her guests, bringing her best cutleries, wines, table clothes, everything and a decorating the area like it's a wedding reception setting.
I wonder who they are, they must be really special to her cause she has never been this careful and extra.
"They are here" Miss Anna announced and quickly walked back into her office, I'm guessing it's to apply more makeup. I hope she doesn't over so it and ends up looking like a clown.
I chuckled under my breath, I thinking about the clown Anna's image. Two men walked towards the entrance and I straightened my dress and walked up to them.
"Good evening Sirs, Welcome to Anna Baker's restaurant, please take a seat and make your comfortable".
After they sat, I asked "Can I take your order?" and looked them over, they reminded me of Levi with the way they suited up.
"We would like to wait for our friend he's outside at the moment but for now, we would like to see Anna" the taller of the two said with a small smile.
"Uhmm, Miss Anna is in her office, she would be out in a bit" I said and turned to leave when I heard the door swing.
"Hey man, you spent ages parking the car" One of the guys said.
"Hmm yeah" a familiar voice
I turned to look at the man with wide eyes
Levi
What's he doing here? Before I could say anything.
I heard Anna's voice behind me
"Hey honey, I'm glad you made it"
