Zoey POV

Next morning...

"Hey mom" I greeted as I walked in to the kitchen

"Hey honey,can you get carter,breakfast is ready" she said from the store.

Mom cooked again,I could get use to this . I smiled and I went to get carter.

Things changed drastically, mom stopped drinking completely and carter, well he still had some drinks but he stopped getting drunk an d coming home late and their love grew stronger.

Who knew that it takes only a baby to set our lives back on track.

"Morning carter" I said as I walked into his room, he was already dressed

"Morning sweetheart " he kissed my forehead

"Going out?"

"Yeah..." I trailed off, still looking at the mirror as He kept adjusting himself

Weird

" I don't wanna pry but it's morning, where are you going to?" I asked and he gasps in mock hurt and I rolled my eyes

It's rather strange, I hate being a busy body but I really wanted to know

"I got a job" he said

It was now my turn to gasp

What?...a job?

"Yeah a job-" I probably said that out loud "I really wanna get some cash you know, for when my baby arrives and I wanna get some things ready for his arrival" he said and faced me.

I couldn't help but smile

" how do I look?" He asked

"Presentable" I teased and he laughs

" mom said breakfast is ready" I finally said

"Oh yeah, I'd be down in a minute" he said and I turned to leave but paused.

"Does mom know that you wanna get a job?" I asked

"She would in five" he smiled and I walked out of his room.

Carter came almost immediately and we ate in silence till mom spoke "I have something to say "

"Ok?" We said in unison

"I got a job" she smiled,I hugged her and looked at Carter, he wasn't so happy an out it.

"Carter?" Mum frowned

"I don't want you wo to big while you are pregnant,you need all the rest you can get" he said

Awwwn so cute

"Baby I'm just two months pregnant, it's no biggie besides we need money for the upkeep of the house and all, we have be an dependent on zoey for a while" she gave me a smile

" but I got a job" he whined

"Two isn't too much, is it?" Mum said and she didn't sound surprised

"Why are you not surprised that I got a job?" Carter asked

"You said it in your sleep " mum giggled and I laughed

"Alright I'm off to work" I kissed them both and went out.

Things are becoming normal in my house, I don't have to work like I used too since mom and carter started working. I stopped the hospital shift but I continued with the bookstore because it reminded of Alexa and Levi, also I kept working at Anna's restaurant cause I get paid well there and the tip I get sometimes is quite mouth watering, and I really need the money.

This is the day that I have planned to see Levi's brother, Nathan Called to cancel saying he had a test on Monday and needs to read.

I'm so glad things are back to normal, Levi is still the nicest although we haven't seen physically but we spend hours talking everyday.

"So sparkles,what are your plans with homeboy?" Kayla said and I laughed
"I told you Kay, im just going to say hi to his brother and that because he was involved in an accident " she rolled her eyes

"Borrrrringgg...you'll both should chill, probably watch a move or something and cuddle" she nudged me

"Ooouuch" I robbed the side to ease the pain " also, he's Mia dm Anna's man friend, I don't want her to walk in and see us in that position" I said

"Yeah right, I think you-" she was cut of by my phone

Phone rings

"Levi" I said once I answered the call and glanced at Kayla throwing thumbs up at me

"Alright,what??!!...no...you can pick me here"

"Why" Levi asked

" This is Anna's, remember "

"So?"

"So you can't pick me here,just park by the corner,I'd meet you there" I could imagine him rolling his eyes

"Alright"

"See you in 10" I ended the call,fixed my make up and left but not we thought saying goodbye to Kayla
