Chapter 23 - Chatty Katty

Forbes Residence

It was early morning, I had just gotten ready for the day, when I leave my room and start getting breakfast ready there's a knock on the door.

"WHO IS IT?" I yell as I watch the eggs cook, don't want to overcook them you know?

"It's Elena!" I hear Katherine's voice loudly say and I sigh annoyed.

Walking to my door, I open it but don't invite her in "Why are you here Katherine?"

She pouts "what gave me away?"

"Elena knows that I would hurt her if she came for a visit." I state flatly as I cross my arms boredly.

"I can't seem to reach Mason!" She says with a whine.

I raise an eyebrow "and that has to do with me because?"

She hums and tilts her head with a frown "You seem to be the reason, I'm not sure why though."

I just shrug and say jokingly "perhaps it's my good looks"

"I have Matt." Katherine warns me.

"Oh I know, and you plan on offering him up for the ritual with Klaus."

She pouts again "I was, but I was wondering if you'd take his place."

I snort "you weren't going to ask for my permission Kat."

"True, I was hoping that you'd just invite me in and then I'd have made it quick."

"...." I stare at her flatly, no expression at all.

She sighs annoyed. "Let me in Caroline, I promise I'll kill you quickly."

"Yeah, see, that's going to be a hard NO" I tell her with a small laugh.

"Come to think of it I haven't seen Mason for awhile either." Katherine says as she narrows her eyes at me and I just shrug.

"If you lose your boy toys then that's on you."

"How about you invite me in and then we'll have a chat in private."

I snort in amusement "Not a chance, as much as I like you, unfortunately for you, I'm not that stupid."

She snarls and her vampire face shows "let me in Caroline or I'll kill your mother. ."

I raise an eyebrow at her "do that and I will gladly contact Klaus and hand you right over, I met him you know, other then being kind of paranoid he IS funny."

Her mouth tightens into a thin line as Damon and Alaric show up, Matt is not far behind them interestingly enough. Katherines eyes dart around in a paranoid manner. The moment Damon sees her he vamps over her and slams her into the wall.

Katherine being older and quicker snaps his neck and then before Alaric can react she snaps his as well and I sigh annoyed.

Matt looks at katherine wide eyed in surprise by her actions and says almost scaldingly "Katherine, I thought that you said they were your friends?"

Katherine pouts, a genuine pout too and I could almost laugh, it's adorable really "But I need a new vampire for the sacrifice."

Then quickly Damon's up, his hand is wrapped tightly around Katherines throat and he slams her harshly into the wall, making her gasp in surprise. I frown curiously.

The anger in his voice is palpable as he begins speaking "You touch a single hair on her and your dead Katherine. I have no issues with killing you. Do. You. Understand?"
