Getting used to the big house was a bit of a challenge for my mom and me. Eventually I managed to key our blood into the property lines, it was complex. Since Bonnie had never heard of such a thing before she decided to watch. Then again we don't know that it works. Fortunately, or unfortunately considering your own perspective we have yet to be attacked.

"What do you mean you didn't want to let his hand go?" Damon asks me with curious eyes as he watches me closely.

Oddly enough he doesn't even seem to be mad. Just thoughtful and a bit calculating.

I shrug my shoulders and sigh as I rub my forehead. "I don't know. It's like.. it was like being with you or.. or Ric and it felt.. I don't know I don't understand." I admit in frustration as I pull on my hair and stand up from my bed in irritation.

Damon's brows frown in thought as he asks. "So, like a really, really good friend?"

His question causes me to pause and tilt my head to the side in consideration. "Maybe. Although .. ugh. I don't know. It's all confusing."

"Well." He begins saying with a frown and then mutters to himself. "I guess Ric and I need to have a chat with him then.. again." Then he speaks at a normal volume. "So, you're getting your eggs frozen today right?"

"Yup. We have to leave in two hours so that we get there in time though."

"Then I can turn you once we get back?" He asks to follow up on the question.

I nod. "Then throughout the week Moms doctor will be making house calls but he's a vamp or ."

"Cold one." Damon says with a sneer of disgust. "They seem to think they're better then everyone else. Normally, they believe that they're indestructible or something like that."

"I'm pretty sure that Nik would kill anyone who tries to say that they're better then him." I mutter in amusement as I shake my head with a chuckle.

"Hey." Damon playfully says in protest as he holds up his hands in mock surrender. "I would do the same thing."

Snorting, I smirk at him in amusement. "Now.. that I believe."

"What do you believe?" Ric asks as he walks in looking annoyed and frustrated as he ruffles his hair.

"Hello." I quip instead of answering. "Is everything alright?"

Alaric looks at me and then glances at Damon suspiciously. "No. But you didn't answer my question."

"Well, Ric." Damon begins as he crosses his arms over his chest and leans against the wall. "It seems that our Caroline has a thing for the big bad hybrid."

My cheeks feel like they're burning and I glance at the ground before taking a deep breathe and admitting. "I like him."

To be fair, I liked him in TVD and TO too. There were times that I thought he was doing something stupid but his character was one of my favorites. Of course knowing the real him vs a fictional character is much different and I don't honestly know him that well.

"Okay." Alaric says sounding a bit confused. "He's alright, I guess. Better then I thought he was going to be after all we heard about him."

"Do you think that or does Ric Jr think that?" Damon asks him with a raised eyebrow.

"Talking about my brother now?" Kol asks in amusement as he walks in and makes himself home on the couch. To be fair, it is his home soo he can do basically anything he wants. Except bother their houseguests, but he can annoy them however he would like to.

The vampire and the teacher make a sound of agreement. Kol continues. "So, darling, how is the houseguest inside of your head doing?"

Alaric rolls his eyes in annoyance and glares at him before shaking his head and sighing lowly. "Annoyed. He wants out again."
