Sonic had landed on a snowboard on the mountain. He rode down until crashing into a very cold wall, where sand fell on top of him. Miles flew down to him and the two proceeded inside the cave, until they came out of the cave and fought one of Robotnik's many robots. They moved on after destroying it. Passing through obstacles until encountering Robotnik and destroying another one of his machines. They went inside a small hole filled with snow. They travelled through until landing in Launch Base.
