After the Death Egg had exploded, Sonic landed on the Tornado. Sonic and Miles were proud but had to find where the Death Egg had landed as it had fell on Angel Island. Sonic and Miles looked until they eventually found that it had landed there. Miles flied Sonic down to the island and Sonic jumped off and transformed. Miles had followed, but Sonic was not expecting to see Knuckles, who had knocked the emeralds off him. His emeralds were stolen from him by Knuckles who had laughed at him. Sonic and Miles ran until they came across one of Robotnik's many robots. The robot set the area they were in on fire. Sonic and Miles proceeded to move on and destroy the robot, but the island was still on fire. The two proceeded until they encountered a ship that dropped bombs on both of them. They finally encountered Robotnik and proceeded to destroy the machine he was in. They ran into Knuckles again and fell off the bridge into a mysterious place.
