The two had emerged from the snow and were ready to face off against Robotnik yet again. They encountered Knuckles yet again, who proceeded to drop a bomb on them, luckily though, Sonic and Miles escaped the location of the bombing. They fought against one of Robotnik's many robots. Sonic and Miles would soon find water to be surrounding the lower parts of Launch Base. They moved along and defeated yet another one of Robotnik's machines. They got on one of Robotnik's machines and proceeded to move along, until encountering Knuckles, who laughed at them until it started to collapse. Knuckles had fallen off. They soon arrived got to fight Robotnik again. They thought it was over. Until Robotnik got into his Big Arms machine, going against Sonic one last time, but was defeated. Everything fell, including the Death Egg. Sonic and Miles looked on as the Death Egg fell to Mushroom Hill.
