Here I am, walking the halls of Hogwarts on the first day of my 6th year. I had already eaten breakfast and was making my way back to my dormitory to get my bag for class. A lot of students at Hogwarts didn't like potions class. Not because it was hard, but because of the Professor that taught it.
Professor Snape. To be honest, I didn't really mind Professor Snape. Yeah, he could be rude and very sarcastic but, I mean who wouldn't be if they had to teach kids every day.

As I reached the entrance to the Slytherin Common room, I opened the door slowly and walked in. People were hanging around, talking to friends and waiting for classes to start. I walked up to my dormitory, grabbed my bag, and headed to class.

I made my way into the Potions Classroom, sitting at an empty table in the back. " May I sit I here?"
I looked up, just to come face to face with a smug
Draco Malfoy. Draco has always been a flirt towards me since I was the only girl in Slytherin who never really gave him much attention.  "Be my guest." I said holding a hand out to the empty chair beside me. He sat down as I pulled out everything I needed for class. " So Y/N." Draco said with a smile plastered across his face. "What's up Draco?"

"I was just thinking, since we've known each other for quite awhile..." I already knew where this was going. Draco had every girl in Slytherin House practically drooling over him, I never got why he even tries with me. I stopped and looked at Draco with a sarcastic smile. "Once again, No Draco."
"Damn, at least I tried." Don't get me wrong I liked Draco, I mean what girl wouldn't? He was very charming. I just didn't look at Draco that way, plus Makenna had a huge crush on him.

"Turn to page 10.. and start notes.." Snape said bursting through the door. He stood in the front of the classroom going over rules just like every other year. As the students pulled out their parchment and quills I had already started on my notes.

I brushed a stray piece of hair behind my ear, trying very hard to focus on the parchment in front of me.
I know, 'why are you working so hard on notes Y/N?'
Well, if one piece of information is wrong then.. the potion is ruined. That's potions for ya.

Suddenly, a strange feeling came to me. I felt a pair of eyes beating down on me. I tried to ignore it but, the feeling was consistent throughout class. I looked up to see a pair of onyx eyes starring right back into my E/C ones. Professor Snape? He quickly looked away, continuing with the work on his desk.

Class had ended and everyone was leaving. I had taken my time packing all of my things up. Most students in my class didn't like Snape so, of course they left as fast as possible. I didn't get it. Professor Snape wasn't that bad. Again, he was pretty intimidating and could be scary but, I felt there was more to him. More than he had ever let off. As the last couple of people left I walked up to his desk and handed in my papers, this time he didn't look at me.. not once.
