Snape X Reader || Falling ♡

~ℂ𝕙𝕒𝕡𝕥𝕖𝕣 𝟙𝟝~

I hurried into the dungeons. It was past curfew  so, I tried to keep quiet.

I was hoping Severus was still awake. Usually he was always in his classroom grading papers or sorting ingredients he got from Professor Sprout.

The thought of what happened just minutes ago rushed through my head

Severus would know what to do. We would tell Dumbledore and.. and...

A chill rushed down my spine.

No.. Now is not the time Y/N

I slowed down, coming up on the potions classroom.

Ok.

I knocked quietly.

I could hear shifting and the clinking of glass.

The door swung open fast, leaving a very irritated potions professor in front of me.

As his eyes caught mine his face softened.

His face was unreadable. I, on the other hand was terrified. I mean, what will happen after Dumbledore..

He pulled me into the classroom, shutting the door behind him.

I walked over to a desk, sitting down

How do I explain? How do I even start?
'Oh, hey Severus. Just wanted to let you know, Draco found a way for death eaters to get in. Draco can kill Dumbledore now!'

Merlin, Y/N.

"I-It's done." I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat.

He scanned my face. He looked like normal but, Something was off. By the look of it, my face wasn't hiding the terror rising inside of me very well anyways.

He let out a quiet sigh. Almost to quiet.

"Does Albus Know?" He asked in his monotone voice.

"No... I informed you first."

"You should have told Dumbledore first. Great, now there's no telling how much time we have." He said, slightly annoyed.

"Draco hasn't informed The Dark Lord or his father yet. We have time Severus." I reassured as he looked me up and down.

Closing his eyes, he let out another sigh. A look of frustration fell upon his face.

Usually I was the one keeping him together, keeping him calm and collected but,ever since I had been assigned to help draco.. well I haven't had the time.

He brought his hand up to his forehead.

"I'm sorry." He mumbled quietly.

He walked over to his desk, talking a seat.

With his head in his hands, it went silent.

I got up, walking to his desk slowly.

"It's just going to get worse isn't it?"
I whispered as he glanced up. His hair falling in front of his face.

I brushed the raven hair away from his face.

I knew it was just going to get worse. I think everyone did. Ever since I had became one of The Dark Lords Death eaters, Hogwarts had lost all color. It had lost all hope, every ounce of joy that it once gave me.. gone.

I had no home.

"I love you." I tried to smile, still thinking of what will happen over the next week or so.

"I don't want to lose you Severus." My voice cracked. Losing him was the last thing I could imagine right now.

"Look at me." He gently cupped my face. I melted into his warm touch.

Looking me in the eyes he stood, pulling me into his chest.

"I can't lose you either." He held me close. I could hear his heart beat, the sound of his subtle breathing slowing down.

"I'm not going to lose you.. nothing will happen to you, not as long as I'm here." He pulled away slightly, trying to give a reassuring smile.

I wrapped my arms around his neck, touch is forehead with mine.

"I really miss spending time with you."
He smirked a bit, as took a deep breath.

"Stay tonight?"

"Of course" I smiled

He placed a sweet kiss upon my lips, pulling away slowly.

"When is it so post to happen?" Makenna whispered, sitting on the sofa in the common room.

"Whenever the next meeting is. Soon" Draco stated, grabbing Makenna's hand.

It was horrible,Seeing her like this.

"It'll be okay. All of this will be over soon."
Draco pulled Makenna into a hug while she started to cry.

My mind started wonder to Dumbledore. What will happen when he is gone? What will happen to Hogwarts?

A sudden burning in my arm snapped me out of thought.

Shit, right now?

I looked up, meeting Draco's eyes.
He knew. He could feel it too. The Dark Lord, he was calling us.
