Snape X Reader || Falling ♡

Severus had become new headmaster of Hogwarts, due to the dark lords orders.

It was hard for him, and it showed. He couldn't even talk about it a couple months ago, and now, he is in the position Dumbledore once held.

He had tried his best to convince me to not go with him, to stay in the 'safety' of his home. He was probably right. It was dangerous now. Harry Potter was on the run, no where to be seen. The Dark Lord of course wanted me in the protection of Severus. So, I had to go.

Hogwarts was a lot different compared to previous years. It wasn't a happy place and wouldn't be due to what had happen prior. A lot of students had decided not to come back. The Dark Lords return was striking all over the news. People debating on whether it was the truth or not, many still blaming it all on Harry.

However, it was the truth. Spending most of my time with Severus, the Dark Lord had gained a liking for myself. I had sat in on the conversations between his inner circle. As always it was nothing good. He was planning something big, something horrendous.

Severus spent most of his time locked away in the headmasters office, only coming down if need be. The Carrow twins kept things in order. Picking on innocent children was what gave them great satisfaction. Spending most of my days hidden away in the safety of the headmasters office, I wasn't exposed to the harmful actions of the Carrows.

Draco however, did not come back.

Makenna and I had found a way to communicate with Draco. Of course I saw him almost every Meeting with the Dark Lord but, with the times now.. Everything is being carefully watched and calculated.

If the wrong person were to find out Draco was communicating with Makenna, the outcome would certainly not be good. And as if her being a Hufflepuff isn't bad enough, she knows about Voldemort's plans.

Because Draco trusts her with everything.
I trust her with everything.

It wasn't right leaving her to ponder about why her best friend and boyfriend were gone all the time. Why the only two people she really had, were missing for days on end.

We all send letters to each other when Draco and I left. Checking up, making sure everybody was safe and aware of what is to come.

According to Makenna, Hogwarts let everyone out due to Dumbledores death. It wasn't safe anymore.

It was terrifying. The one place that was said to be the most protected, wasn't protected at all. It used to be safe. It used to hold meaning, to teach children the wonderful way of the Magical World we live in.

Well, this is the new wonderful way of the Magical World we live in.

And it was only going to get worse.

Today hadn't been so bad. It was sunnier than usual so Makenna and I snuck out for a bit. Yeah, with Hogwarts being under the control of Severus it was very difficult to escape once in awhile. But of course, we always found a way.

"Hey" I walked into the headmasters office, setting down my books gently.

Severus was sitting at his desk as usual. His head in his hands while he tried to finish the paper work that was in front of him.

"You ok?"

He looked up at me, running a hand through his hair.

"Yeah, just trying to figure out what I'm so post to do with..this." He scoffed as he held up the Daily Profit,  throwing it back onto the desk.

"What is it?" I made my way behind him as flicked his wand making the news paper fly open.

"Potter has been seen, somewhere close by?"
He slouched in his chair, his hand covering his face.

The probability of Harry Potter returning to Hogwarts was low.. right?
Out of everywhere he could be I wouldn't expect him to come back. He is wanted. Hundreds of Death Eaters, always keeping an eye out of the famous Harry Potter.

"I don't know what.. I'm going to do."

"Harry can't really do anything. He would be stupid enough to come back to Hogwarts."

"That's the thing. He is stupid enough."
He shifted in his chair, noticeably getting angry every second.

"Let's just hope the Carrows don't get to him first."

He was angry, infuriated. He didn't want to have to find Harry, he didn't want Harry here.

Harry being in Hogwarts is the last thing anyone wanted. He needed to do what he needed to do. He was 'the chosen one'. Peoples lives were in danger and they depended on him.

Seeing Severus worry this much about Harry Potter was starting to worry me.

He hadn't been talking much, or sleeping. He hadn't really eaten in the last 2 days either. It wasn't something that was new though.. I had times where it happens to me.. it's just, not normal for him.

I slowly walked over to his dark brooding figure,taking a seat on his lap.

He giggled quietly, snaking his arms around my waist.

Even with me sitting on his lap I was still quite short compared to him.

"You really do know how to lighten a mood"
He left small, gentle kisses up and down my neck.

"Mhm" I leaned back into his touch, giggling.

His hands were eager to explore my body, resisting to move without acceptance.

"I love you." He breathily whispered into my ear. The genuine need in his voice now showing.

I quickly turned around and straddled him.
He looked up at me now, his hands moving slowly up and down my waist.

He passionately kissed me again, only this time it wasn't like any other. Lust filling up the room as I tangled my fingers gently in his raven hair. 

That's when I knew, all I wanted was Him.
