Snape X Reader || Falling ♡

"Hand me that." I said to Makenna, pointing at some rose petals.

"Why did he have to leave?" Makenna whined, handing them over lazily.

"It's only for a couple days, it's not like he is gone forever. He'll be back on Friday." I added the petals to the potion in front of me, pink smoke arising into the shape of a heart.

"Done."  I sat down in my seat, grabbing my potions book.

"It's to long."

"Makenna please, it's three days." Rolling my eyes, I glanced up from my desk to catch Severus, staring.

A small smirk upon his face as he glanced between Makenna and I.

Smiling a bit, I shrugged going back to the potions book in front of me.

"Yeah, okay." Makenna held her head up by her hand, resting her elbow on the table.

"Your potions should be done.... we'll see if you dunderheads managed to get it right.. although.. I doubt it." Severus stood, scanning the room of students.

I sat up, carefully collecting some of the potion into a vile.

"Why don't you hang out with me and
Cedrick Diggory in the Hufflepuff common room? You'll have fun, I'm sure of it." Makenna spring up out of her seat, helping clean the desk.

"Uhh.."

Really my plan after the day was to curl up in a good book and chill but, guess not.
Internally sighing, I opened my mouth to speak.

"Miss L/N.." Severus looked between Makenna and I

"I'll be needing you to report to me after classes."
Severus said as I handed him the vile.
His hand grazing mine as he took it.

Clearing my throat, I spoke once more.

"Yes Professor."

Thank...god...

He looked at Makenna as he turned to collect the rest of the classes potions.

"What was that about?" Makenna interrupted my thought.

"W-What do you mean?" I turned, collecting all of my books.

"You got another detention or something?"
She raised an eyebrow.

" O-Ohhhhh, yeah. He won't give me a break." I rolled my eyes as I lied.

Lying right to my best friends face didn't feel good at all. . She would tell me if she was in the same situation Im in... right? ..I'm a shitty friend.

"Well I'll catch up with you later." Makenna smiled as she went to leave.

"Ok"

The last student left the class, leaving me and Severus alone.

'Am I a bad friend? She is going to hate me if she ever finds out'

I gathered my papers out of frustration, thoughts rattling around in my mind.

Turning around,a tall figure towering over me.

"Your not a bad friend..."

Sighing, I looked down at the papers in my
Hands.

"I'm terrible.. and I can't tell her anything."
I sat down, holding my head in my hands.

"I'm over exaggerating..."

"No, your not... what your going through right now isn't Usual. Almost all of these imbeciles would never even think of risking their lives for the Order when it comes to The Dark Lord."

Severus pauses, before pulling up a chair beside me and sitting.  

"I've always told her everything. She is like my sister....What if she finds out and doesn't understand? She'll never even look at me again."

"Y/N." Severus gently lifted my chin with his hand, forcing me to look at him.

"If she truly loved you as a sister.. she would understand."

There was a quiet moment between us. Gazing into each others eyes, never wanting to move.. not even a bit.

I knew it was hard for Severus to open up like this but, he really tried when it came to me.

It was cute.

"Your right." I took his hand from my chin into my own, brushing my thumb against his skin.

"When am I not?" He smirked, laughing a little.

"Good point Professor." I teased as he stood, putting the chair back in place.

"Better get to your next class miss L/N, wouldn't want to have to give you more detention." He laughed.

Leaving, I looked back.

"I'll see you later Severus." I smiled as I left the room, shutting the door behind me.

One things for sure... I hope Severus is right...
