The wrong path

The start

"Hi welcome to Wendy's" I said into the mic. After getting the order I told the people in the kitchen and they started making it. I only have 3 more hours then I can go home and sleep. The person drove to the window and handed me the money. $5.00. Ah the 4 for 4. After giving the man his Receipt. I looked at my phone. My boyfriend Lucas just recently started watching the vampire diaries and he can't stop talking to me about it. He's acting like I didn't watch it 3 times already. The rest of work went by pretty slow. When 9:30 hit I clocked out and began walking home. My house was right around the corner so I didn't mind walking. I stopped at the gas station and got a new charger and a bag of chips. "$4:50" my Bestfriend said from behind the counter. "Come on give me a discount" I said. Sherry and I have been best friends since the first grade. She's my other half. "Fine $3.00 but don't get used to this" she said with a smile. "Don't worry I'm not" I said then handed her the money. We talked for a moment longer then I headed home. My mom and dad were already sleeping so I quietly went to my room. I changed into my new pajamas that I got on Depop then turned on my tv. After about 10 minutes of watching 13 reasons why I feel asleep.

The next morning I woke up around 11. Since I don't have work on saturdays I get to sleep in. I showered then made myself some cereal. My boyfriend Lucas and I were on FaceTime when Sherry texted me asking if I wanted to sleep over. I replied yes of course. After I was done eating I packed my bag then called Sherry. 5 minutes later she pulled into my driveway. "Hey bitch" she said as I got in the car. "Hi whore" I replied. She started driving then said "My mom won't stop harassing me about going work at Blonsha" she said while rolling her eyes. Blonsha is a very and I mean very high class Restaurant. Sherry's mom has been working there since she was 17 and she recently got promoted to be the manager and ever since then she keeps asking Sherry to be a waitress. "I mean why not you'll get paid so much more then you do now" I said. "No way I already told her I want to work where I want to work not where she wants me to" sherry said. "I get that but don't you want more money" I asked. "Not if it means working with my mom" she replied. Sherry doesn't have anything against her mom it's just she's very independent. "Whatever you say" I said. We Pulled up to Sherry's house then went inside. "Hi Daisy" Sherrys mom Kay said. "Hi" I said with a smile. "So daisy did Sherry tell you how ungrateful she's being" Kay asked. "Well she didn't use those words but yes" I said with a laugh. "Oh my god mom" sherry said. "Anybody else would be thrilled to get offer like this" Kay sighed. "You really should take it Sherry I'd kill for that job" I said. "I don't want it" sherry snapped. "Wait you would take the job" Kay asked. "I mean if I had the chance yes I would it's great money" I said. "Yes mom let Daisy take it" sherry said with a smile. "Then you've got it" Kay said. "Don't you need to interview me first" I asked. "Nonsense I'm the manager" Kay said with a smile. "I can't believe this thank you so much" I said while hugging Kay. The rest of the night was spent talking about how exited I was for my new job and of course boys.

As soon as I woke up Sherry and I went to windy's. I quit and turned in all my stuff. I got my last pay check then we headed out the door. Life is going so good. I'm about to have way more money then I ever have plus since I'm 18 I can serve drinks. This is going to be good for me I can feel it.
