POV OF CHRISTOPHER

I know she isn't Anna since I met her the other day. She is acting like my Anna, but I can feel she isn't. Before I can do anything, Beta Harry announces our marriage to Hannah. I try to find Anna, but I can't. Nick and I are sharing a mate, and that doesn't matter because I love my brother very much. We have always shared things since childhood.

Dad asks us to play along so we can learn what Harry's plan is by exchanging our mate. We try to act along, but it’s hard when she tries to kiss us. Nick is short-tempered and shouts at her sometimes. It’s really getting hard to keep up the act.

It has been a week, and I am in my office. It is almost midnight when there’s a knock on the door. Richard comes in, and I look at him, confused.

“I have to tell you a very important thing,” he speaks softly.

“Why are you whispering?” I ask, and he motions for me to lower my voice.

“It’s about Anna,” he says, and I quickly get up.

“What is it?” I ask.

“Look, I know you know Hannah is acting like she is Anna,” he says, and I nod.

“But Anna isn't here anymore,” he adds, and my heart starts to race.

“Where is she? What happened to her?” I exclaim.

“Dad thinks she isn't suitable for becoming Luna,” he explains, and I growl.

“So he sent her away?” I ask.

“Where did he send her?” I demand, holding his collar.

“I don’t know. He locked me in my room until she left,” he replies.

“She left of her own will?” I ask, heartbroken.

“Yes. Hannah told her that you two think she is your mate and will mark her after graduation. She looked really heartbroken,” he says, and I feel a sharp pain in my chest.

She was hurt because of us. “Please find her. Don’t let Dad know about this. He told me that if I told anyone about it, he’ll hurt Anna,” he replies, and I clench my fist. I am furious. My wolf wants to break Harry’s neck for doing this to us and our mate.

I walk to Nick and explain everything to him. He is as angry as I am. We decide to send spies to look for her. We play along with Hannah, but Nick’s temper gets more out of hand, and I have to manage him. We postpone the marking ceremony for a year so we can settle and find Anna.

POV OF NICHOLAS

It's been a year, and we still haven't found her. Next week is her birthday. It will be an year since we met, but she isn't with us. I walk to Chris's office and see him talking on the phone. I can tell he is excited. He hangs up and looks at me with a grin.

“We found her!” he exclaims, hugging me. My wolf and I are ecstatic!

“Where is she?” I ask quickly.

“In Australia,” he replies.

“Come on, let’s go there now!” I exclaim.

“Wait, Nick, we can’t,” he replies, and I look at him in surprise.

“Are you kidding me? You say we found her, then you say we can’t go to her?” I growl.

“Listen, Nick, if Harry knew we know where she is, then he’ll hurt her,” he says.

“But we can protect her!” I argue.

“I know, but we have to make a plan first, okay?” he asks. I think for a moment and then nod.

“Chris, Nick!” I roll my eyes when I hear her voice. She peeks in, acting cute, but it doesn’t feel cute at all.

“Why are you here?” I ask, annoyed.

“Are you not happy that I’m here?” she asks.

“No, we were just busy. A business deal is going out of hand,” Chris replies, typing on his computer.

“Why did you come, by the way?” he asks, looking at her. She quickly smiles and sits in the chair beside me.

“Next week is my birthday, so I thought we could go somewhere,” she says, resting her hand on my thigh. I have a strong urge to smack it away, but I don’t.

“How about Australia?” I smirk, and her face falls. She looks scared.

“A-Australia?” she stammers.

“Yep. We have a business deal there, right?” I look at Chris, who smirks too.

“Yep, we can go there. Have you been there?” Chris asks.

“N-No. It seems good,” she replies, looking at her lap.

“Are you alright?” I caress her cheek, and she nods.

“So we’ll leave in two days so we can celebrate your birthday there,” Chris smiles, and she nods.

She leaves, and we laugh.

“I can’t wait to see her,” I whisper.
