___
He was enthusiastic about his daughters life, even more than she was. Tooru always meant well, but (Y/n) found him to be smothering, even in her young age. First, Tooru would try to sit her down to watch some of his old high school volleyball games. The eight-year-old didn't exactly mind, it was fun watching the matches, she would try to pick out familiar faces, like Uncle Hajime and Mr. Ushijima. Tooru would point out the kind of moves he specifically would do, would point out how powerful his hits were and how his receives were nearly impossible for others to catch. Basically, he would flex on how good of a player he had been, and as he said, still was.
When she was younger, about five, (Y/n) payed no mind about it because she had no idea that her father was being egotistical. Now, though, she found it extremely annoying. During the weekends she spent her mornings working in the garden with her mother, doing crafts (often messy ones), and she sometimes followed her father around if he just so happened to be doing things around the house. During the afternoon she would search out friends of her own, the Kageyama's and Miya's lived close enough that she was friends with those kids even though her father turned his nose up at Mr. Tobio anytime she spoke about him. After going home, she would ask for her single glass of juice before settling in before dinner came around. After dinner came what Tooru called 'bonding time'.
He would follow (Y/n) around until she was settling down from eating and would suddenly grab her. Tooru loved bonding with his daughter, especially during the weekend. He worked all week and he would have to stay late often so the actual time he got to spend with her was small, not including the weekends, of course. Tooru loved the weekends for this exact reason: he got more time with his daughter.
More like he got to annoy her, but (Y/n) supposed it was the same thing.
"See, see! This is when Aoba Johsai played against Karasuno. We totally kicked their butts this time," Tooru exclaims, tugging a bright blue bow into (Y/n)'s (H/c) hair. He did that a lot too, played with her hair. (Y/n) studied the video playing on their TV, her eyes narrowed slightly. "Papa, it looks like they beat you, though. Sure it was close or whatever, but Uncle Tobes and his team beat you guys."
"(Y/N)! DON'T BREAK MY HEART LIKE THAT!"
She thought her father was really annoying, but she thought he could be really funny, too.
[Oikawa and Tendo would be the most annoying parents ever, and that's a fact. I'm accepting requests!]
