___
There was something about his daughter that filled Keiji with paranoia and anxiety. It wasn't anything fault of her own, she had never done anything out of term, (Y/n) was actually a very well-behaved child, she was easier to deal with than Bokuto was and Keiji knew that for a fact. No, it was just that he always seemed to know when something was wrong with her. It was like some kind of intuition. If she was sick, he knew. If she was sad, he knew.
His friends often called him a hover-parents because he always seemed to worry about his little five-year-old. What father wouldn't be? Keiji often got a strange tingle at the back of his neck whenever something was wrong, and he had gotten said tingle at four in the morning. It had woken him up actually. Maybe he really was a hover-parent? That was the only explanation for him to be shooting out of bed just to make his way to his child's room to see what was wrong.
Keiji makes his way down the hall quickly, worry itching at him like some kind of disease. He hurriedly opens her door and is met with the sound of her heavy breathing.
. . .
Okay. Maybe he had overreacted a little bit, but Keiji didn't really care. When he had heard her sickly breathing he had wasted absolutely no time in grabbing her, wrapping her in blankets, and rushing her to the hospital. The hospital staff were expecting her to have serious wounds by the way Keiji was acting, but all she had was a bad cold that he hadn't caught onto. It was only a cold, Keiji knew that, but he was taking a week off of work to take care of her so he knew she was alright.
He had accidentally called Bokuto and told him, without much else to go on, that he had to take (Y/n) to the hospital. (Y/n) being his niece, it wasn't long before the owl-like male had busted into (Y/n)'s hospital room looking panicked. He was shouting at the medical staff and several nurses could be seen giving him a dirty look. It was five in the morning, so it was completely understandable.
Keiji realized that all of this was most likely his fault because he was too overprotective, but he really couldn't help himself. He was her father, so it was basically his job, right?
[I have like, three more chapters I have to get out, including a BokuAka chapter. To the person who requested them, I still plan on doing that request but I prefer to do my requests in order so things don't get messy. Also, I changed the cover!]
