"This isn't a good i-,"

"Hunter please. You were crying and I want to make you feel better."

"You don't need to-,"

"Shhh-," His lips slam against mine teeth knocking, hands grabbing.

His long fingers hook into my leggings and pull them from my legs slowly, being sure to make contact with the newly exposed skin.

"I have wanted to do this since you stepped onto that train." His voice is rough.

"Hey I was there first." The laugh that slips through my lips dies as I reach out to stop him, "Wait."

"Hunter." He whines, head falling into the pillow, "What?"

"I- I can't." I bite my lips hoping to keep my emotions at bay. I've cried too much today.

"Why love?"

"You're drunk."

He nods slowly, eyes still staring into mine.

"Let me make you feel better Hunter. Please."

"Go to sleep. You're drunk."

"Hunter."

"Sleep."

"Hunter you're crying. Please don't cry."

"Sleep Harry just sleep."

His lips press to mine quickly, urgently even. His tongue attacking mine, teeth clanking, lips numbed.

"Please just stay." He says pulling away from my lips, "Stay please Hunter."

"Shhh sleep Harry. You'll feel better in the morning."

I curl into myself, holding the pillow as silent tears roll down my cheeks. My stinging eyes close and I try and will myself to sleep with a head full of meaningless thoughts. I hear a deep breath behind me before strong arms are pulling me to a hard chest.

"You are my sunshine-," The breath is sucked from my lungs, "My only sunshine." My heart beat accelerates as I hold onto his arms and press my lips to his skin to silence my whimpers, my mom used to sing it to me when I was sad, "You make me happy- When skies are grey-

-You'll never know dear-

-How much I love you-

-Please don't take my sunshine away." His soft lips press to the shell of my ear as we're both silent, "You're too beautiful to cry baby girl. I hope that someday you'll let me see your smile again." His voice fades out drowsily as soft breaths puff from his swollen lips.

And that's when my heart grew only to break against the cage I've encased it in.

Light invades the cocoon I've made around myself. The open window sends a cool breeze past me I curl further to find any source of heat, only to be met with an empty bed and the faint smell of scotch and cologne.

A hole starts to form in the middle of my heart. Almost as if I've been shot from the inside and I'm bleeding out memories of a string of one night stands and an empty bed and it slowly kills me to let the darkness so close yet again.
