A bright light peeked out from under your lashes as you fluttered your eyes open. It felt like a dream. Like everything that happened with John didn't happen. Maybe the fire had killed you. Finally dragged you to the farthest pits of hell to pay for your sins. Greed, wrath, and worst of all envy were something that not only burned on the outside but the inside. If this was a dream, it wasn't supposed to be heaven, it was supposed to be hell.

You slowly blinked as you stared out a window near the bed you laid on. This room was very unfamiliar. Where were you? If you were in a resistance fighter's house you were fucked. They would have no idea what they're getting into. Just being in the presence of an Omega let alone the Mother would send any Eden's Gate member batshit crazy. God, what were you thinking? Now you were buying into all this mother shit and being the Omega to not only John but also Jacob and Joseph just sounded insane to you.

You tried to mentally wrap your brain around the sheer concept of being an Omega to three Alphas, but it just wasn't working. This was being selfish. You were greedy.

There was no way three Alphas would want someone like you, especially an Omega nobody that couldn't compare to a Beta like Holly. Oh, yeah you forgot she existed. No doubt back at the ranch with you now gone. For once, you just hoped and prayed it was a resistance member or possibly the Deputy.

Your (e/c) eyes were staring intently at the door, waiting for someone to walk through. As soon as the doorknob jiggled, you thought about jumping through that window. Anything to get away from this place. Somewhere deep down, where you pushed away your Omega side, she was calling for you to finally let her out. To embrace that side of you would just push you further into the arms of Eden's Gate, something you didn't know you wanted until now. It seemed like there was only ever John. Like God had said, fuck, even the Father said it.

Even now you could smell him. Joseph's smell soaked the place. Freshly mown grass, leather, and rain. It was more soothing compared to John's and it had you lightly sniffing the air as your nose crinkled.

Calm washed over you at the familiar scent. Even though it was comforting it held an edge to it. Like something was wrong. At that point, you didn't even care. You were being greedy again as your Omega took over and relished in the scent of an unmated Alpha. Something so rare in this place. As you were lost in your thoughts, the door slowly creaked open. Your face flushed with embarrassment as Joseph walked into the room.

He gave a kind smile as he carried a tray that held two teacups and a teapot. The teacups looked very familiar. They were a bright white with crude paintings of the Project at Eden's Gate cross on them. You remember painting those for a Sunday school project back in the day. Having the teacher preaching about Joseph and the project in a tiny chair still brought a smile to your face.

"You kept those? All of them?" Joseph looked taken back by your sudden question. But the smile slowly returned to his face. He chuckled as he sat down on the bed and handed you a cup. You lifted the cup to see your initials at the bottom in your sloppy handwriting from ages ago.

"Why would I give away anything my children give me? They are gifts." He simply smiled as he stared at the tea in his cup. He seemed slightly embarrassed at his statement. His tanned cheeks slowly took on a shade of pink.

"Well, they were made by kids. Maybe you could get more pups to make you another set." Just imagining all those cute kids painting away behind the church like you did sent a wave of butterflies through your stomach. It even made you think about those four children that felt like they could never be yours. Something so sinful, something like you could never have that.

"I suppose they could." Nothing else was said as you just looked down at the cup. You could see your face in the tea that produced in hot mist. You looked awful. Blood mixed with dirt and smeared your face with it. It felt like forever since you've seen the real you under all the dirt and grime. The person you were before all this mess didn't exist anymore. You didn't know her.
