The pathway of rocks has been a long journey for Evelyn, who had a hard time to not try and trip. She was currently on her way to a French cuisine restaurant, which her grandmother had decided as to where they would meet up and take lunch there.

She looked down at the rocks, and how her feet was stepping onto them. A habit of hers she had started doing so whenever she avoided the pitiful stares from the ones who had said their condolensces to her and her father when her beloved mother died. Ever since, she had the knack for looking down at her feet while walking, without getting lost, and especially knowing where she was going.

She tripped on a rock that she hadn't seen, or she did, but wasn't focusing enough. She lost her balance, and stumbled forward. This caught her off guard, but she used her reflexes to being her back up, when a pair of hands went to her arms. She felt the familiar spark that was once ignited before, but this was stronger than the last one. Still, she placed both her hand consciously on the person's arms as well.

Evelyn slowly looked up, to see the face of the boy in the church. Evelyn gave out a nervous laugh, looking down once again.

"Was it fate that today brought us together once again, or was our timing that good that we happened to literally bump into one another?" Evelyn asked, her voice breathless, her entire body shaking from shock, fear, and excitement. She didn't know if she needed to be overwhelmed by his appearance.

He straightened her up by hoisting her shoulders, and gave her a hard gaze. "Don't be foolish, vampire." He pushed her off gently, but Evelyn got the gist that he didn't like to be near her. "There is no fate between a mortal and an immortal, nor is there good timing between one."

Evelyn smirked. She was starting to have an interest on this guy. The way he chose his words, it certainly fascinated Evelyn.

"Sure there is. You just don't know it." Evelyn said with a defensive tone.

He scoffed at her. "I didn't know vampires believed in fate and in good timing."

She got the gist, too, that he was actually mocking her. This made her pissed off, which was saying something, because no mortal had she ever talked or faced with have ever pissed off an immortal. This made her laugh.

She went closer to him, until they occupied an half of the space. "Try and say that again, mortal. I might just suck that pretty face of yours."

"Oh, and now you call me pretty? What a compliment coming from you, pale face." He said, rolling his eyes.

Evelyn's eyes must have widened. She couldn't believe her ears. This mortal, this single, unbelievable mortal, was actually going to put up with this? She had dealt with annoying mortals in her previous schools before, but never, never did she come face to face and actually talk with one, whike insulting each other's faces.

Now that she got up close with him, she had to say, he was her type when it comes to looks. Body was in good shape, not too hulky and not too scrawny, face looks devilishly delicious, hair was messy, but still looks incredibly hot with that dirty blonde hair of his, then, Evelyn's eyes landed onto his neck. It was no accident, however, as she always does this with ever mortal being she has been with, or was standing near her. The veins in his body thumped with a beat, a rhythm Evelyn wanted to hear, to hear the way his heart beat, how good it would be if her fangs landed onto that beautiful neck of his--
