The sunlight's harsh blaze directed towards the male and female vampire, who had been waiting outside for a taxi to come. If Evelyn had not bothered bringing an extra umbrella with her, it would either end up as where her father lends his umbrella to her, resulting to Evelyn to pity him and hand the umbrella back to him, and both will end up being selfless of each other. Or, they would both have to make a space in her father's small umbrella.

Evelyn decided to keep an eye out for any upcoming taxi, while her father read about the attraction sites waiting to be seen in Singapore.

"Hmm, yes. Maybe we should go to Universal Studios tomorrow, then after that, we should head towards Vivo City. I heard from an officemate of mine that they have splendid shopping stores over there." Her father muttered under his breath.

Once he said that, as if on cue, Evelyn spotted a blue vehicle coming towards their way, and Evelyn waved her hand to get the attention of the driver. The driver noticed, and parked to where Evelyn and her father were standing.

When both of them were inside and her father slammed the vehicle door shut, he calmly requested the driver to take them to an address within a place called Hougang. Evelyn asked whether if it was an apartment they were temporarily living at, but her father told her that once they arrived, she would know. She immediatly understood, and waited until they arrived at their destination.

As Evelyn waited, second after second, minute after minute, she had the time to be mesmerized at nature's wonder and all of its beauty. The trees, the ever so green trees, that they have passed by in a whim, the beautiful blue lake they saw when the vehicle paused for a moment's time to let an old lady pass by the road, a kitty with its mother, and of course, the beautiful blue sky, filled with clouds with its different shapes, if you used your imagination well enough.

When Evelyn noticed the vehicle was brought to a stop, and she now focused her eyes somewhere beyond the middle, and found herself facing a certain humongous mansion before her. The structure was simply breathtaking, she could not take her eyes off of it. While her father was busy counting Singaporean dollars to pay for the driver, Evelyn went out of the vehicle first, and was the first one to utter a word for the past few minutes.

"Wow," Evelyn said. Her lips rose an inch, and by now, she was smiling. "This place looks incredible."

Evelyn began to take small steps towards the mansion, eyes still glued to it. There was something that Evelyn noticed that made her feel familiar and comfortable around here, but she couldn't place her finger around it. Nevertheless, she continued to walk.

Before she knew it, she was now standing in front of the red door. It had a doorbell beside it, but she couldn't just ring it. Were there people inside? Or was it just her and her father only? She had to wait for her father to continue doing so.

She heard the scuffling of boots going towards her, or more likely, going towards the door.

When her father was standing beside Evelyn and was now, too, facing the red door, he was searching for something in his pocket. Then, Evelyn heard the jinggling of keys. She wondered if her father had multiple other houses or apartments lying around here that she didn't know of.

Her father picked one key out of the others, and when Evelyn looked closely, it was not like the other keys that she had ever seen. More like a key that you would normally see in horror movies or supernatural movies. Something like in between.
