Chapter 19: Day 10!

Natsu finished showering and changed quickly. He left the bathroom but before he could wake up the unconscious Zeref something caught his eye. Specifically the notebook on Zeref's nightstand. 'He's always carrying that around with him...' Natsu schemed. 'I doubt he'll care too much if I take a peak...'. He creeped over to the nightstand, making a show of his sneakiness. Zeref stirred slightly, but not yet awakening, causing Natsu to jump. He turned back to the notepad and snatched it and quickly jumped away as if it would trigger some type of boobytrap. 'Sweet I did it!' He grinned and then sat down on the floor like a child in a reading circle. After five minutes of skimming he found something shocking. The air in his throat caught when he found a certain page. "ZEREF!" He yelled, causing the sleeping mage to shoot up into a sitting position.

"Huh!?" He groaned groggily with his eyes half closed. Natsu threw the notepad at him open to a certain page. His eyes widened in panic.

"I can't believe-" Natsu stood up, "you're an artist!" He finishes with stars in his eyes. Zeref nearly fainted, the page it was opened to was a sketch of a city from one of his travels. He was expecting it to be much, much, worse. Perhaps something along the lines of something three pages later. Oh what an interesting and wonderful conversation that would've been... not.

"Y-yeah, I guess..." He laughed nervously. 'Is he always such an idiot?!' He wondered, which caused him to laugh a bit harder which made him look insane. His brother reached for the notepad again and he quickly snatched it back.

"Hey, I want to see more!" He whined. Zeref tried to come up with an excuse as he shook his head 'no'.

"Later, we should go down. The others are probably gonna come and get us an-" A knock was heard from the door. Natsu sighed and gave up in his pursuit for the notepad and went to open it. Outside stood Invel and Larcade. Invel was dressed in his usual outfit, Zeref always did wonder if he owned anything else. Larcade wore a white shirt with a jacket made out of some type of scale. If Zeref recalled it was made out of wyvern scales, the first one he slayed if he remembered correctly. He lacked the giant cross of course, it would be strange for him to wear with casual attire. He also wore simple black jeans.

"Hey!" Natsu greeted from inside the room.

"Hey." Larcade replied. Zeref scrambled out of his bed, feeling mildly embarrassed because of his bed head. For once he wasn't wearing his 'Bedsheets' and rather worse a black shirt with black jeans. And Natsu wore his usual outfit which really stood out...

"Well, we should probably go." Zeref said while looking away from the group to the clock. Placing his hand on the door frame to keep himself from falling over.

"Yes your right, your highness." Invel bowed causing the three Dragneels to sigh. "I arranged for a taxi cart to take us to the plantation.", the mention of transportation caused Natsu to pale.

"C-can't we just walk?" He asked nervously.

"I'm not walking." Larcade said, sharing the same thoughts as the other three. Natsu paled again before slamming the door... on Zeref's hand.

"OWW!" He hollered in pain.

"Ahh! Crap!" Natsu yelled while looking at the jammed fingers. He opened the door to a furious Invel and a crying, in laughter, Larcade.

"What have you done!" Invel asked panically as he covered the emperor's hand in ice which eased the pain. He surely had a few broken fingers, which should hopefully be considered major enough to heal quickly thanks to his curse. Larcade was barely holding himself up against the doorway as he continued laughing. (A/N: I'm gonna make Larcade in this story probably be this kinda dude who is either deadly serious or a complete laughing, cute, idiot... kinda like Erza but different. He won't be as scary... wait what was that... GUYS! SEND HEL- AHHHH! [RIP Author])
