"So."
Tine was standing in front of Sarawat, both hands on his hips and a thoughtful look on his face. Sarawat looked entirely too happy for a person who had his ex-girlfriend try and burn down his apartment. He had a black duffle bag slung over his shoulder and a large suitcase behind him, a grin on his face as he stood in Tine's foyer.
"Hi." The guitarist greeted, leaning forward and giving Tine a quick peck.
Tine's eyes closed briefly at the press of their lips, a soft sigh escaping him. To be honest, he was just happy as Sarawat was. Sure, his idol staying over indefinitely was a cause for happiness, but the fact that he was able to help the other man when he needed it the most? The icing on the cake.
Tine grinned back and reached behind Sarawat, taking the handle of the case and tugging it inside the apartment. "Come in. I've cleared a space for you in my closet."
"I'm staying in your room?"
Tine paused for a few seconds before continuing to his bedroom. "Haven't we had this conversation before? Of course, you're staying in my room. You can't very well stay in my office." You are NEVER allowed to see my memorabilia. NEVER.
"I mean, I could set up a cot or something in there."
"Forget it," Tine replied, "Air would kill me if I made you sleep on a makeshift bed. Besides, you've been in my room. It's not small. You aren't sleeping on the daybed either, don't even suggest it." Sarawat snapped his mouth shut.
Tine stopped, one hand on the doorknob of his bedroom. He turned to look at Sarawat. "Are you having second thoughts about staying here? Because I totally understand if you do. It's only been a month after all."
Sarawat smiled and rubbed his neck nervously. Tine thought he was positively adorable. "I don't have second thoughts. I'm just nervous? The last time we lived together wasn't exactly sunshine and daisies."
"Don't remind me. You were such a slob. And you had no concept of personal space." Tine made a face. "Let's not forget the infamous condom bouquet Man and Boss "gifted" us." He twisted the knob and pushed open the door, parking Sarawat's suitcase in front of one of twin dressers. "Here. This entire dresser is yours and so is that closet," Tine pointed to a set of closet doors near the bathroom door.
"Thank you, Tine. I mean it." Sarawat said quietly, looking at Tine.
Tine let go of Sarawat's case and walked over to him, wrapping both arms around his waist and enveloping him in a tight hug. "Just so you know, I'm a hugger."
Sarawat laughed, muffled by Tine's neck, and planted a soft kiss on the underside of Tine's jaw.
---
More or less, Sarawat and Tine had settled into a comfortable routine over the next few weeks. Sarawat usually stayed in until noon, then head off for photoshoots and tapings until late at night. Tine would usually get out of the office late as well, so they typically went home together. It was easy, falling into each other's space again. Tine didn't realize how in tune he and Sarawat were together.
It was 2 AM one weekend when Sarawat suggested going for a grocery run. Tine was up looking over depositions that he was collating for one of the firm's senior partners. Dim had taken Tine off of Mil's case because of their current...romantic entanglement, and Tine had agreed. It wouldn't look good for the case it one of the paralegals was dating the client.
With a stretch, Tine yawned and checked the time on his phone. "At two in the morning? Really, Wat?"
Sarawat nodded from his position in front Tine. He had his chin on his forearms, his bangs falling into his eyes. He and Tine were both surrounded by yellow legal pads, highlighters, and folders upon folders. "I usually go out at this time. Not so many fans around."
