I went to the door. It was a familiar face but I couldn't recollect who it was. "Sire, I am from Mr Hilbert's office," The messenger said and handed me a letter. "The message is of urgent nature" He mentioned. The letter was from Wolfgang Hilbert. An old business colleague of mine. One of the many reasons I came to Saar was to complete one of Hilbert's deeds.

The letter read nothing but "Hope you are ready?". The messenger kept looking at my face, I knew I had to be immediate with my reply. I went inside and wrote my reply and returned the letter to him. I went to my room and checked whether I was really prepared for what Hilbert had asked me to do.

It completely slipped off my mind. The study! "Heinrich!" I screamed on the top of the lungs. He, as diligent he is, came running. "I remember asking you something Heinrich" I tapped my fingers on the table. "Sire, I very well remember. However, I can't open the study for you" Heinrich sighed. "Why?" I asked. "Sire, an educated man as you will not understand the working of the supernatural world" He looked into my eyes. "What do you even mean?" I was puzzled. "Sire, your father died a despondent death, I mean his last days weren't as anybody would have expected. With you gone and no one to call family he was fairly desolated from the world" He said. His reply priced my ego and insecurities. I don't know what took on me, I raged and burst fire on him. "Heinrich, I think my father has spoiled beyond beliefs. Have you forgotten that you are a mere helper in this household? How dare you accuse me of deserting my own father!" I was in fumes, I tumbled like dried leaves and my lungs burned. Heinrich on the other end was ready to take an eye for an eye.

"Sire, the desert is an understatement. You didn't desert him, you forgot him. He spent nights painting and writing about you. He wrote every week. He once even went to the post office to check for any missed letter hoping one of those letters would be yours. BUT YOU NEVER CARED TO LOOK BACK!" The mansion rattled with his voice.

"You went to follow your dreams. The loving father Mr.Koch was he enforced every power in his control to get you to your dreams. He got you admitted to the finest medical institute of the Kingdom. Paid your tuition through all thick and thin. He never missed a chance to boast about you in any social gatherings he had. He was the light under which you shone and when the time came for payback. You just turned your back. Ask poor Joseph, Mr Koch himself made sure that he water those daisies you planted as a kid. If it wasn't for his business he would have come running to the Kingdom. It is malicious for you to claim that you didn't forget the very loving father that made you the person you are" Tears rolled down his eyes. I just stood there motionless like a statue.

"And now that he is gone. His physical self might have descended to its natural elements. But his soul still resides in this house. Hoping that his ambitious and greedy son will return one day. Yes, Sire, he is a GHOST!" He balanced himself against the wall. I couldn't believe what he just said.

"You have gone crazy, you call me greedy? Whereas you are the one who is trying to spook me away so that you can herniate this fortune" I defended myself.

Heinrich gazed at me and said "Yes, have rapacious towards your father's wealth. What made you think that two months after your fathers dismal is the appropriate time to visit Saar? You call me insane. Every single person that serves under this roof has seen his sprite. Even some villagers have claimed to sight him. Hence, with the village pastor, we have rested your father's spirit in the place he spent most of his time. His study"

I couldn't tolerate him anymore. I asked for the house keys and pointed a finger towards the main door. After serving this household for almost 45 years Heinrich left it.

I was so distraught after this fiasco. I spent the remaining hours cooking dinner and doing laundry. Trying my best to distract myself from the events of the evening.

Soon the winds grew stronger. With the winds came the clouds. I was sitting in the front porch mindless staring at the sky.

A wagon rolled in front of the main gate.
