When Sophie woke up that Saturday morning, Edaline was gone and Sophie's eyes felt puffy and her hair was a mess.

She took a quick shower and changed into a t-shirt and leggings before going downstairs and into the kitchen.

"You're awake," Edaline said with a sad smile. "Are you alright?" She asked.

"I feel like death," Sophie said as she sat at one of the barstool chairs. "What's for breakfast?"

Edaline gave Sophie another sad smile before she handed Sophie a plate of French Toast with powdered sugar and maple syrup. "And I spent all morning at the grocery store getting all of your favorite ice cream so you can eat that and watch movies all day if you want to."

"Thanks Edaline," Sophie said, taking a bite of her French Toast. It was warm and it made her feel good inside—which helped her mood a lot.

After breakfast Sophie decided to do something that she'd never done before. She walked into her room and decided she needed to rearrange it.

She got Grady to help her move her bed and anything else that was too heavy for her—but other than that she redid it all by herself.

She moved her bed near her window, then she put her bedside table beside it—and placed Iggy's bedding on top of it—then she moved her desk all the way on the other side of the room, and she put her mirror between her bathroom door and closet door. Lastly, she moved her bookshelf on the only empty wall left.

Sophie also rearranged her clothes in her closet into colored order, and she went on a cleaning rampage in her bathroom.

After everything in her room had been cleaned and rearranged Sophie flopped on her bed and took out her phone.

She saw notifications on social media with cute prom pictures, and she also had twenty-five texts from Biana.

Sophie read through all of them and did her best to explain what had happened through text. She also made sure to tell Biana that she was fine and didn't need any mental help.

After that, Sophie noticed that she had a single text from Keefe.

It read: Missed you at Prom!

Sophie smiled at the simple, but sweet, text and was reminded of how much she really liked Keefe.

But then a saddening thought hit her hard.

Keefe was going to be leaving for college in a few months. What if he decided he didn't want to be held down by someone from California and move away and date some girl from some other place?

The thought was super valid and super depressing.

Sophie was upset, so she headed downstairs to get some ice cream, but she was stopped when Grady and Edaline met her in the hallway.

"We have a surprise for you." Grady said with a grin.

Sophie sighed. "This better not be a pity gift," She told them.

Grady shook his head. "Nope, we got this while you were at Prom—not after."

"Okay," Sophie said right before Edaline and Grady led her outside and in front of the garage. "What're we doing?"

"Well," Edaline said. "You passed your driver's test so..."

Grady opened the garage door and revealed a beautiful, white Nissan Sentra. "Ta-da!"
