Beach?

Thirty minutes later I found myself basically passed out on a beach chair. We hadn't gotten a spot anywhere close to the beach front, but that was okay since the sun shone elsewhere.

All the sudden the warmth dissipated. I squinted at the tall dark shadow who blocked the sun's rays. "What?" I mumbled, closing my eyes again.

"Will you go swimming with me?" Taehyung asked.

"No." I turned down the offer blatantly. I felt the sun's warmth once more.

"Please?" He crouched next to my beach chair, big brown eyes begging. I stared back, fighting the persuasion in them.

"Fine," I agreed, none too happily. Taehyung stood up eagerly, slipping his shirt off and throwing it on a chair next to me. I took off my shirt and shorts to reveal a blush pink bikini underneath. His eyes skimmed over my body as mine did the same over his. Licking his lips, he grabbed my wrist and led me to the water. We maneuvered through all the people, beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, and sand toys. When we reached the water, we stood ankle-deep in the tepid water.

"It's cold," I stated. "Who's first?"

"Both of us," he answered before effortlessly scooping me into his arms and wading deeper into the water. I struggled against him, wiggling. I flinched, then clung harder to Taehyung when the water met my warm skin.

"It's too cold," I complained, shivering.

"Then we better stick close," he murmured. The water was chest high on him. He released me suddenly so I fell into the water. I resurfaced coughing.

"You'll pay for that," I told him, glaring.

"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do?" he taunted.

"This." I leaped out of the water, clinging onto his back. I splashed the cold water onto his shoulders as I wrapped my legs around his waist. He stumbled under my abrupt weight. I used his momentum against him, gripping his shoulders and leaning back. We tipped into the waves. I released him and stood up, expecting him to already be at the surface. But he wasn't. I scanned the water for him, but I couldn't see him.

"Taehyung?" I said, feeling around underwater with my  hands and feet. "Oh, God. Taehyung!" I waded around, frantically searching for him.

Finally, something took a hold of my ankle. Yelping, I tried to kick it off. Taehyung surfaced. I stopped panicking, then punched him in the arm.

"You dummy!" I shouted. "You had me worried sick. I thought you had drowned or something!"

"I'm so flattered that you care about me." He pressed his hand to his heart.

My face heated up. "I-It's not that...I was just worried for Yeontan, ya know? I'd hate to see him become an orphan at that young of an age."

His expression became dubious. "Sure."

"Anyway, where is Yeontan?" I interjected, changing the subject.

"I dropped him off at my parent's place before you picked me up. They love him like another son."

"Who wouldn't?! He's adorable!" My heart became all soft and fluffy just thinking about his.

"Too bad you can't persuade Jin to get a hamster or something."

"Yeah, that's not happening." I shivered. "I'm gonna go in and warm up." Wrapping my arms around myself, I waded to shore. Taehyung hung an arm around my shoulders, immediately warming me. His skin was like a radiator. I pressed myself to him as we walked to the chairs. I saw Jin reclined in one of the chairs, drink in hand. I stopped when I saw a woman sitting in the chair next to him, conversing with my brother.

Once I reached Jin's shady spot under an umbrella, I cleared my throat, Taehyung still hovering behind me. My brother paused and looked at me.

"Oh! Y/N, this is Soojung. She's a teacher at Eastern Seoul Middle School. She is here on vacation too," Jin explained, eyes never leaving Soojung.

"Nice to meet you, Soojung," I told her, bowing.

"So, you're Y/N. Jin's already told me so much about you," she said, smiling. She had shoulder-length dark brown hair, light brown eyes, a small nose, and a sparkling smile behind heart-shaped lips. "Who's this?" she wondered, peeking behind me.

"Kim Taehyung," he spoke, bowing. She smiled and nodded, turning her attention back to Jin.

I slid into my chair next Jin and Taehyung next to me. A few minutes later, on the cusp of sleep, I felt a hand into mine. I squinted at Taehyung as he lifted our interlocked hands up to his mouth and brushed his lips lightly against my knuckles. I fell asleep.
