Operation 'Tutor'

Taehyung walked into the classroom while Jungkook and I whispered about our plan to help him. "Put your phones in the bin, everyone!" Taehyung announced, staring at Hyobyung directly. He didn't move. He  was still snapping photos of those chicks who, by now figured out they were getting photographed, leaned forward to pose 'sexily' for Hyobyung. That's a major eye-roll worthy moment. Could they get any more obvious?

Taehyung strolled over to the paparazzi-in-training and snatched his phone away. He tapped the screen erratically then returned the phone to him after a few seconds. "I deleted a few pictures from your camera roll." He leaned closer, whispering something in Hyobyung's ear which turned bright crimson. He walked away and dropped Hyonbyung's phone in the bin with the others.

Hyobyung protested but Taehyung stuck his hand and the air, interrupting him. "Now, as for the rest of you, find something productive to do with the remaining hour." He sat at his desk, picked up a red pen, and scribbled furiously. He put a hand on his forehead and sighed, looking disappointed. He was probably grading our math tests.

Jungkook leaned towards me. "'Kay, so what do we do?" he wondered, attentively watching Taehyung.

"Didn't he say something about a meeting?" I whispered, flipping through the pages of my notebook.

"Yeah. Tomorrow. During our math class."

"But, do you think we'll be able to effectively tutor the whole class in 45 minutes?"

"No, we might need to schedule something else." Jungkook tapped his pen thoughtfully on the table. "Hey, why don't we just ask the math club to help us?" Jungkook suggested eagerly, snapping his fingers. I paused. Why hadn't I thought of that before?

A hand slammed down on the table, startling Jungkook and I away from each other. "So, what're we whispering about?" Taehyung interrogated, lifting an eyebrow, looking between Jungkookband I.

"U-Um...we're discussing our math homework," I lied.

"Oh, really?" he replied.

I nodded.

"What's so secretive about about your math homework that you need to whisper?" he questioned.

"We didn't want to be distracting to the rest of the class so we're whispering," Jungkook answered quickly.

Taehyung was skeptical. "If you need help I'm right up front. I am the math teacher after all." He strode back to his desk and started grading again with renewed energy, biting his lower lip.

I looked worriedly at Jungkook. "Do you think he heard?" He shook his head. I glanced up and Taehyung was looking at us, a muscle in his jaw clenched.

I smelled jealousy.

Jungkook informed me that the math club met after school today so I was going to pop in and propose our idea if they hadn't left yet. Until then, I finished my actual math homework in a snap. Math just came easily to me. Jin used to tell me that I would surpass him in school if I kept on being smart. So, I decided to be a better sister than student and stayed with my age group in school.

The bell rang, ending detention. By the time I packed up all my stuff, everyone left the room. Jungkook waited out side in the hall for me. I grabbed my phone.

"Y/N," Taehyung said, standing up.

"Yes?" I replied, shoving my phone into the back pocket.

He scratched the back of his head, hand in his pocket. He started to say something then must've thought better of it, sighing. "Nevermind. It's not important," he told me, dropping his hand.

"You sure?"

He nodded. "Yeah, see you tomorrow."

I walked out of the classroom, feeling his hot gaze trained on my figure. Jungkook was bent down over the drinking fountain. He straightened up and wiped his mouth on his sleeve. I followed him down the hall until we got to the multi-purpose room. I peeked in the window.

There were five round tables scattered around the smaller room. Not even a full table was completely filled. Only four people sat at the one table. Compasses, protractors, textbooks, graph and lined paper, and calculators littered the little table. Jungkook knocked then squeaked the door open.

All of them craned their necks to look at us. "May we help you?" a guy with short black hair and silver rectangular glasses asked from behind his algebra textbook.

Jungkook nudged me forward so I could could take the wheel. "Um, hi. I'm Y/N. Jungkook and I were wondering if you could help us with something," I proposed lamely, running my finger along the rough edge of a table.

"Depends on what it is..." the girl with long blonde hair said. Her roots were turning brown.

"We need some assistance tutoring Mr. Kim's class. Jungkook and I can't do it by ourselves."

"Yes! Of course we'll help!" The other girl with a chubbier face and short pigtails bounced up, happily agreeing. "Hi, I'm Eunha!" She waved as Blondie pulled her back down.

"Why are you here and not Mr. Kim himself?" Blondie asked, narrowing her eyes and twisting a strand of flaxen hair around her finger.

"Well, we're sorta surprising Mr. Kim." The girl's eyes became tiny black slits on her white face.

"Huddle!" she shouted suddenly. The four draped their arms around each other, leaning in. Loud whispers emitted from the circle. Jungkook and I looked at each other. I raised an eyebrow and he just shrugged, shaking his head slightly. A few moments later the group disbanded.

The guy with longer brown hair like Jungkook's spoke up. "We'll do it." I went to high-five Jungkook. "On one condition." My hand stopped mid-five. I wheeled to look at him. "You have to join the math club. We're short two people if we wanna compete in this year's national math competition in Seoul." He studied me with large analyzing eyes that seemed to know everything. He probably already knew my birth date, social security number, and cup size by now. I shivered.

I looked at Jungkook. He nodded firmly. "Fine, we'll join the club," I accepted. The four smiled in unison. It was kinda creepy, to be honest.
