Bro Issues

I walked home from school since I didn't live that far away. And I was NOT going to wait for my brother, Jin.

Jin was the well-loved History teacher at my high school.  He always stayed late because he graded all his papers and stuff like that. He handed out a ton of assignments (poor history students) and he refused to bring them to home to grade because "school should be left at school" as he constantly said. I'm pretty sure he stayed later just to flirt with the young Language teacher stationed right across the hall from his classroom.

But that's not the point. The point was that Jin stayed late so I had to use my legs and walk home myself. The jerk.

I plopped down on the gray couch and did my homework while blasting music.

The front door slammed open an hour later, startling me.

"Y/N!" Jin yelled. I fumbled with my phone to pause the music.

"What?" I asked, turning to look at my big brother.

"Why didn't you tell me Ms. Choi had a boyfriend?!" Jin inquired angrily, running his fingers through his hair. "I was openly flirting with her while her boyfriend was standing right there! I thought he was a freaking student!"

That would explain Jin's cracked lip that started to turn a purple-y hue.

"How was I supposed to know she has a boyfriend?!" I wondered, amused.

"Oh, I don't know! You could've asked her?!" Jin expressed, getting quite animated.

"That would've come off a little creepy, don't you think?" I shot back.

"Whatever." Jin stormed past me, to his room.

"Don't worry, Jin. There are plenty more fish in the sea!" I called to him.

"Oh, shuddup!" he yelled back, slamming his door.

I threw my head back and laughed at my hopelessly romantic brother.
