I hope you like it.
Ever since you were a child you found the whole idea of soulmates fascinating, it always intrigued you the fact that everyone has the other half that is meant to complete you, but sometimes the universe gives you more than just one half that will complete you.
Your mother always told you stories about soulmates, but the one that always caught your attention was one of the Soulmate marks. She always told you that there is someone out there that is a perfect fit for you, a person that will complete you on spiritual, and well every other level.
And when you will find them or be near them the Soulmate mark would appear on your body, the exact same one that your soulmate would have. Even though you were a romantic, your hope of ever finding the one was fading away, maybe it was the fact that your mother never found her soulmate or the fact that the one person who you trusted, who you loved and was your best friend, died, your mother.
After your mother died you felt like your world was empty, and everything reminded you of her, of her warm personality, her jokes, her laugher, and of her love that she showed to everyone. So you made a hard decision, you decided to leave the country you were born in and go to the place that would help you become the best version of yourself. You decided to leave Ireland, and go to America, the country that was supposed to give you a fresh beginning.
For the first few months, you just moved from state to state, hoping to find a place that would feel as warm as Ireland did, you didn't just want to settle in some town, you wanted to settle in the town that would make you shine, make you feel happy and whole.
Half a year later after you left Ireland you walked into the beautiful city of Louisiana, New Orleans. The minute you entered it, you felt like you were home, you felt like this vibrant city could offer you something that even Ireland couldn't and so after a few hours of roaming around the city, you decided this was the one, this was the city you will call home.
In the next few days, you looked for a house and a steady job. You found a beautiful small house with one bedroom, a kitchen, and a living room, just enough for you. Even though finding a house wasn't as hard as people would think it would be, finding a job was a lot harder. Yes, you didn't need money, as your mom left you quite a fortune, but you were always used to working so it was strange to just walk around the city all day not doing anything, but just enjoying life.
Your days were mundane, with nothing interesting happening, and you really thought that maybe New Orleans wasn't a good decision after all, but all that changed one morning.
The day started as usual, you woke up at about 10 am, and slowly started preparing for the new day. You dressed in a simple blue top and jeans and put your hair in a bun. After you were done, you decided to go out, and get some light food and a coffee to wake you up.
You grabbed your phone as you walked out of the building and into the loud streets of New Orleans. You walked into the nearby coffee shop, to get your dose of needed caffeine. The minute that you stepped in, you smelled coffee and pastry which made your stomach growl, so you just smiled as you went to get your coffee and something to eat.
You waited in life for a few minutes, when it was your turn. You looked on the menu even though you already knew you will be going with your usual. "Hello. Welcome to New Orleans Coffee Shop, what would you like to order?" You looked at the nice waitress that waited for you to order.
