{Lucas's POV}

I was too scared to muster any words. I didn't know how much he had seen, or if he had seen anything at all. Now my mother knew about Yoshiro, which terrified me even more. She was crazy, and Yoshiro wasn't aware of just how far she would go. I prayed that she wouldn't try anything, that she wouldn't try and ruin Yoshiro's life for making her look like a fool.

The next few minutes passed in a blur. Yoshiro had his hand behind my back as he gently led me into his car. I wasn't sure what he was planning, but I wasn't afraid of him. After he opened the door for me, he quickly climbed in on the driver's side. He cranked the car yet he didn't drive off. He looked over at me, "I'm not sure how you're feeling right now and I'm sorry if what I did made you upset, but I just couldn't let her drag you off. You don't have to talk or explain anything if you don't feel like it. Just tell me what you need." I didn't look up at him. I didn't want him seeing me like this, I was embarrassed.

After a few moments of silence Yoshiro sighed softly and drove off from the parking spot on the side of the road. The thought hit me that I had left Umeko without an explanation and I immediately felt worse. I had left my phone at the Cafè so it wasn't like I could just text her. I decided that once I had calmed down I would ask Yoshiro to let her know that I was okay. About 45 minutes later, the car came to a stop. I still hadn't looked up so I wasn't sure where we were or how we had got there. Yoshiro turned to me without saying a word, as if he were waiting on me to say something. I finally looked up enough to meet his eyes. He grabbed my hand gently, running his thumb over the back of my hand as if he were trying to soothe me. "Are you ok?" The words dripped from his mouth like honey. It was in that moment that I had realized the whole situation. All my built up emotions were begging to spill out of me. I was unaware of the hot tears running down my face until Yoshiro rose his hand and wiped my flushed cheek. "Come on, let's go inside and get your face cleaned up." The comforting warmth left my hand and face.

Yoshiro got out of the car and came over to my side, opening the door for me. I got out and looked around. Right in front if us was a simple, yet elegant looking house. I mean, I knew Yoshiro had money, yet I was still shocked to see such a nice looking house. It had a white exterior with a grey roof, there were quite a few windows which complimented the over all look. The front door was a dark wood with a beautiful golden handle. There were plants around the house, which gave it a nice homey touch. It was very different from my cramped home. I started thinking back to when Yoshiro came to my house, now I just feel embarrassed. Yoshiro snapped me out of my thoughts as he led me to the front door. He unlocked it and then pushed the big door aside to reveal a beautiful interior. Light grey walls with a dark wooden floor, modern looking furniture that looked like it hadn't even been touched. There were shelves decorated with fake plants and scenery pictures. As I looked around, I realized that there wasn't even one family photo or photos of himself.

"You can go sit on the couch while I go get the first aid kit." I nodded my head, taking off my shoes at the door like Yoshiro did and heading over to the large couch. As I sat down I was shocked that the couch felt softer than my actual bed. My feet were resting on the white rug that was in front of the couch, which had a square black coffee table on it about 3 feet away from the couch. There was a fireplace in the corner as well as a black recliner. Again, very modern and simple. A few moments later, Yoshiro came into the living room with the first aid kit and sat down next to me. He grabbed some wipes as he put his hand under my chin and lifted my face up where he could see the injuries clearly. He carefully wiped my lip and my cheek off and then put some ointment on them. He put a small bandage on the cut on my lip and a bigger bandage on my cheek. Once he was done he put all the supplies back into the kit and stood up as he headed over to the kitchen to throw away the trash. The kitchen looked very nice like the living room did. It had a nice white marble counter top as well as an island in the middle with black chairs on the sides of it. I felt awkward, not knowing what to do or where to go. I wasn't even sure why he had brought me here. My mind drifted into thinking what I was going to do next. I didn't have enough money to move out on my own, so that wasn't an option. I didn't really have any friends I could stay with. I wasn't sure how I was going to avoid my mom, since she knew where I worked she would definitely come. I was honestly lost and overwhelmed. My emotions started getting the best of me yet again as I tried to hold in the tears. Yoshiro walked back into the living room and sat down beside me again. I didn't want him to see me crying, I was embarrassed enough as it is.

"You know you can talk to me, right?" I felt a hand turn my head and my eyes met his soft grey ones. His other hand came up to my hair and brushed my bangs out of my face, revealing my eyes fully. His face held raw emotions, I could tell he was extremely worried about me and didn't know what to do either. A part of me wanted to push him away and another wanted to just lean into his touch. He seemed like the only thing that hadn't hurt me yet. I still didn't know him very well, but I had a gut feeling that I didn't have to worry about anything with him. He was always so kind and caring when it came to me. He didn't have to do anything for me. He could've just left and walked away without a care, but he didn't. So maybe, just maybe, I could leave behind my stubbornness and just give in. Just this once.

I sighed heavily and leaned forward, my head falling on his chest. He seemed taken aback, his hands hovering in the air. After he took a few moments to register what was going on, he wrapped his arms around me and pulled my body closer to his. One of his hands rested in the back of my hair as he gently caressed the nape of my neck and the other gently stroking my back. I wrapped my arms around him in return and buried my head deeper into him. A few tears slipped from my eyes, lightly soaking his white long sleeved button up. Neither of us said anything, but we sat in a comfortable silence. The only sounds to be heard were a few birds chirping outside and the slight New York breeze.
