Chapter 72: Memories Hurt

3rd Person POV:

The scene starts as Ayuki is knocked back by Shirou Tokiya as he slashes at her with a knife with her responding by blocking it with her black katana using her secondary blade to jab at his chest knocking him a few feet back.

She then charges at him going for a flurry of slashes with Shirou barley able to counter any of her strikes as she goes for a final jab only for Shirou to have his knife block the blade.

Ayuki: (What?!)

She looks up to see his eyes have changed as his Semblance activates.

She backs away and charges at him again only this time Shirou counters and dodges all of her attacks.

Ayuki: (His reflexes improved!)

She backflips away as Shirou gives chase and launches her up with a kick as he leaps in the air and goes for a axe kick as Ayuki turns and changes her swords to dual pistols and fires off multiple shots at him.

He dodges two of the shots as the rest bombard him causing his Aura to flicker but despite it all he powers through and slashes Ayuki's side causing her Aura to flicker as well.

The two land on the stage as the screen displays their aura levels as both are at 35% indicating that one more blow will end it.

Ayuki: (Gonna have to risk it)

She sheathes her right blade and gathers aura around her palm forming an energy sphere as Shirou readies himself for the attack.

She charges him as he charges back as both are approaching each other full speed with Ayuki lunging forward with the sphere and Shirou smirking as he's about to dodge it until suddenly Ayuki is in the air and slams her energy sphere directly on his back.
