It was past bedtime already and I had snucked out of the Beauxbatons tent to meet up with Draco.
Earlier at Dinner.
I had been indulging myself with the Yorkshire pudding and mashed potatoes when I felt a burning gaze on my head. Tonight, this is the second time I felt this sensation. I tossed my head from left to right, until my eyes landed on Draco's. I raised my hand a little as I waved at him, a small smile appeared on his lips as he waved back to me as well.
"To whom do you smile?" Fleur leaned in as she asked me, eyeing Draco as she knew I was looking at him. I couldn't help but blush slightly.
"Just a nobody." I mumbled, looking at my food then back at Fleur. She already had a teasing smile on her face, it was as if she could read my thoughts.
When dinner came to an end, we were all heading back to our own rooms. I stayed behind in the line when I felt someone tugging on the sleeves of my uniform. Pulling me back and I felt this person's lips on my ear, sending shivers right through me.
"Meet me outside the library tonight. I want to tell you something." He whispered.
A tint of pink crept through my cheeks. I nodded my head absent mindedly.
And as I heard the clock striking at midnight, I slowly crept out of my bed and got out of the room. I put on my cloak as the chilly air kissed through my skin. Despite the cold, hard floor underneath my feet, my heart kept beating loudly with each step I make.
I took a turn and almost ran into what they call the groundkeeper, Mr. Filch and his cat. I silently cursed in French under my breath and took another turn, escaping from his watchful eye.
And there he was. A man in his sleeping clothes with his hair messily fixed, sitting by the fire place.
"Did I make you wait?" I softly asked as I walked closer to him.
"I just came here seconds before you could even." He spoke. I pursed my lips into a thin line, hoping he wouldn't see my pink stained cheeks.
"Anyway, now that you're here." He said, helding his arm out to me. "Shall we?" I took his arm in mine and we started walking upwards through the stairs.
"Where are we going exactly?" I asked, turning my head to look up at him.
"Hm, let's just say that this is where some go to when they are in need of something."
I was feeling unsure and unaware that we kept walking around in the same route on the seventh floor.
"Are you sure that such place exists?"
And then he stopped in his tracks, staring at a two wooden doors right in front of us which wasn't there in the beginning. "I'm sure." he spoke.
Draco opened the door and led us inside. Just like what I had envisioned, there was a fire place and a couch in front of it.
"What do you call this kind of room?" I asked as I waltzed over to the couch and sat down, the fire place keeping me warm.
"It's called the Room of Requirement. Blimey, you aren't wearing any shoes at all?" He asks as he eyed my bare feet planted on the cold, hard ground.
"They would have heard me if I wore shoes, so I basically went here shoe-less." I leaned my back on the couch. "So...why did you lead me here?"
He was staring at the ground with no emotion at all, he lifts his head up to look at me. "Wouldyouliketogototheballwithme?"
I chuckled softly as I stared up at him. "I'm sorry, but I didn't quite catch what you said. Can you repeat it?" He gulps before repeating what he just said. "W-would you...like, to go....to...to...the b-ball with me? It's alright if you don't want to. I completely understand if you're going with someone else." He says.
But I just smiled at him. "But I want to say yes to your proposal." His lips then painted into a soft smile.
Through the rest of the night, he started to teach me speak english without my accent. And I guess, I was getting good overnight.
"One more time. Clarisse."
"Clarizze. Clarizze. Clarisse."
"Say it again, just one more time."
"Clarite. Clarisse. Clarisse."
"You're getting better now." He chuckled softly. "Now say Malfoy."
"Mal..voy. Malfoy. Malfoy."
"You did well for tonight."
And without us knowing, we both fell asleep on the couch. The fire dying down with us.
