The following night, Dumbledore had called everyone that tonight would be the night that they would be selecting champions for the Tri Wizard Tournament.
I am actually rooting for Fleur from our school and the Durmstrang champion as Viktor Krum. I am desperately rooting for them to be picked. But my greatest concern was for their safety since I learned that in the past, they actually die in the tournament.
"I worry about Fleur..." I mumbled into Gabriel's ear. The Beauxbatons were situated in the front of the Ravenclaw table.
"She'll do fine. I'm actually happy that she got chosen!" Gabriel whispered positively in my ear.
"Are you...at least one bit scared for her safety?" I blinked.
"Fleur is a strong woman. She'll push through just fine." She assured me.
"Silence!" Dumbledore dimmed the lights around the hall. "Welcome to the champion selection!" All eyes turned to look at the goblet that was in front of us. It's color from ocean blue turning magenta red until it finally threw out a piece of paper. Dumbledore took the piece of parchment into his head as he read the first name.
"The champion from Durmstrang...Viktor Krum." Everyone on the other side of the hall applauded for him. Even a ginger head clapped furiously and cheered for him, overpowering the other voices. I watched as Viktor walked up to the front and shook hands with Dumbledore and left the hall.
Finally, the goblet turned magenta red once more and Dumbledore read the next name aloud.
"The Beauxbatons champion...Fleur Delacour."
Gabriel and I stood up from our seats and clapped furiously to show support for Fleur. Though despite rooting for her, I am nervous because I didn't want her to die in the tournament. She shook hands with Dumbledore and left the hall as well. Soon later, the last piece of parchment came out and Dumbledore read the last name aloud.
"The champion from Hogwarts...Cedric Diggory." Cheers from his table were much louder and everyone who knew him either gave him a high five or a pat in the shoulder. I must admit though, he is quite good looking.
"Excellent! We have our three champions, but only one will go down in history. Only one will be awarded, the Triwizarding Cup!" He pointed on the other side and revealed an icy blue cup. The cup was very pretty, everyone applauded for it. But the applauds soon died down when everyone noticed that the cup was turning magenta red in color again and came another paper out of it. Dumbledore took the piece of parchment, he mumbled the name but we all couldn't quite catch it.
"HARRY POTTER" He spoke the name louder, then a boy on the other side of the hall stood up. He had jet black hair and wore round glasses, cautiously walking towards the front and left to join where the other three went.
"I should have known. The year was strangely starting quiet and now Potter strikes again for the fourth year." Draco sneered as we both left the hall.
Strangely enough as well, Pansy left with Blaise and went to god knows where. I couldn't find Millicent as well, and I did not see any sign of Crabbe and Goyle. So I was left with Draco.
"Er...was that Potter? He..looks young. A cheat, perhaps?" I asked as I turned to face Draco.
"Oh yeah, every year he's always up to something. Boy-who-lived they say. The only person linked to you-know-who." He says.
"I have heard of this you-know-who. But he isn't that big in France. Unlike here."
I was supposed to go to the Beauxbatons tent but he insisted to take me to the Slytherin common room. I learned that it was located in the dungeons, but the colors of green and black were a pretty color combination in their room. A few people were in the room, but they were all too busy to notice that the Beauxbatons was even present in their place.
"How's France like?" He asks, we both sat on the couch in front of the fire place. The heat giving off a good warmth to me.
"Everything is fascinating in France! You should definitely come and visit." I smiled at him. And a smile painted on his lips as well.
"Who are you?" He suddenly asked. I looked at him quizzicaly, "I'm Clarity. Pansy's friend?" I blinked twice but he only shook his head.
"I know we saw each other before. But apart from being her friend, who are you exactly?"
"Hm..I don't like being called Clarisse. I think Clairty suits me more. And I've known Pansy since we were babies! I used to visit London back when I was a kid. So that's practically why we know each other." I chuckled softly. "How about you tell me something about yourself next?"
He shrugged. "I only live in a manor with mother and father. My father works in the ministry. And that's just basically it. Pansy can be quite of annoying at times."
And we both chuckled.
"But you do know, she can be very cute at times." I smiled at again. But my eyes were suddenly met with brightest blue eyes I have ever seen.
And suddenly it became silent between us. His eyes were clear blue as the sky in the heavens. And it was the warmest color.
"How is it that you have the prettiest eyes?"
"Fat chance. Your brown eyes are the prettiest." Blood rose up to my cheeks and I suddenly blushed.
"How about I teach you some english?" He suddenly spoke.
"What was that?"
"I noticed that you can speak english but with the accent. So, do you want me to teach you english or not?"
"Yes please!"
We didn't noticed that the time had continously kept ticking away until we had been called for dinner. I bid my farewell to him and went over to the Beauxbatons table. As I was seated with the others, I could feel a burning gaze on the back of my head. Curiosity bit me and I turned to look behind me.
Until the same pair of clear blue eyes landed on mine. And they made me feel warm.
