A few weeks before the start of Hogwarts, my parents and I decided to bring my stuff over at Hugo's house in Magnolia Rode. I was pretty impressed to have see his place for the first time. It was a two storey home that had a large space for a living room, three bedrooms on the second floor, two bathrooms on each floor and a large garden place.

"My little girl is getting older. A day later will she leave our home to be with her husband!" My mother exclaimed as I placed the last box into my new room.

"Maybe in two years I would do it" I joked as I joined them down in the living room, taking a seat besides Hugo and grabbing my own cup of earl grey tea. My mother had prepared scones, madeleines and macarons with the tea. Hugo had an amused look on his face while my father was busy reading today's paper of the daily prophet.

"Didn't think you have planned it early." Hugo laughed. I took a macaron and tossed it at him. Though it fell on the floor, he still picked it up and ate it.

"One is fifteen, the other is eighteen. But they both act like they are only a few months old." My father joked as he placed the newspaper down. Taking his own cup of tea and taking a sip. He stood up and went outside through the front door.

"I'm gonna get some cheese bread!" I said before going over quickly to the kitchen.

When I returned with my slice of cheese bread in my mouth, my father had sat back down in his seat. A small ornate box placed on top of my chair.

"Happy birthday, my darling." He greeted me. I immediately finished the bread in my mouth before I took hold of the box. I picked up the box and immediately went over to my father's side, hugging him tightly.

"Thank you, father!" I smiled at him. As I slowly opened the box, a white rose hairpin was placed inside. It was the prettiest hairpin I have ever seen.

My mother suddenly spoke as she brought her tea cup down.

"My gift is inside your room. Good luck in finding it, deary." I instantly sprang up to my seat and ran up the stairs to my room. My room is pretty much still unoccupied. And I haven't unpacked yet.

If I was my mother, where would I hide a gift?

I looked underneath the mattress, the bed, inside the cabinets and drawer. But all to no avail.

As I was in deep thought of where to look, I looked on top of my cabinet and saw a green box. I pulled out a chair and stood on top of it, reaching to get the gift. I came back on my feet and sat on the edge of my bed. The box was bigger than my father's gift and it was wrapped precisely.

As I slowly unfinished the silver ribbon and opened the lid of the box, it contained something that I did not expect to see.

It was what women call "make up"

When I was still a child, I would often watch my mother put makeup on her face everytime she went out for work or had those holiday parties that she organizes. The box was filled with branded cosmetics that every witch in both London and Paris would have their hands on.

I used to think that these items are for adults, but I never knew that my mother would ever see me that way already.

"Excuse me, but the best gift has just arrived." I looked up and found Hugo standing by my doorway holding a cage in his hand. And inside the cage is a small kitten in white and orange color.

I squeeled in delight and took the cage from his hands.

"It's a him if you're wondering." He chuckles softly. "What are you going to call him?

"Thuban! I shall call him Thuban." I smiled happily, but Hugo only laughed loudly upon hearing his name.

"What kind of name is Thuban?" He asks in a fit of laughter.

"Thuban is a name that means head of a serpent. It's a star up in the north and part of the draconis constellation."

"Draconis?" Hugo repeated.

I blushed upon realizing it.

"Shut your mouth" I told him before he went back to the kitchen.

When the night time came, I had received more gifts. Mostly coming from my friends. The Delacour sisters had given me a beautiful pair of pink heels along with a letter from Fleur telling me that she landed a job in Gringotts. The next gift came from Hermione, it looked like an ordinary bag on the outside but on the inside had an extendable charm. Meaning I could many items as I please. The next gift came from Blaise, giving me a bag full of sweets. And lastly came from Pansy, who gave me a poetry and haiku book. After I made sure that I opened all the gifts, I needed to make sure that I would be handing them all a thank you letter.

While I was cleaning up my room, I wondered if ever Draco have forgotten that it was my birthday. There was only a few hours left before my day officially ends.

I let out a sigh and continued to clean my room before proceeding to do my night routine and then closing the lights before laying down.

As I closed my eyes, I could hear faint footsteps.

I opened my eyes and peaked at the bottom of my door. There was no shadow or anything. Hugo made it clear me early that he would be up as he needed to do some paperwork he needed to give to Cornelius Fudge tomorrow morning.

A knock came through my window, turning my head to look. Only to be surprised that it was Draco on a tree branch.

I smiled and got up from my bed, slowly opening my window and letting him in.

"How did you know I was here?" I asked in a hushed tone, closing my window after him.

"I have my ways, love." He winks. "My parents doesn't know I even left the manor." He says next.

"You're gonna get in trouble. That's what's coming for you." We shared a chuckle.

"But it was worth it. Getting into trouble all because I wanted to see you." He says. I walked closer and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

"We have two hours left before your day ends. How would you want to end your day with me?" He asks. A million ideas came into my mind. Slipping out of the window with him as we both ventured into muggle London.
