Chapter 10- the proposal

A hurriedly but gently place the map in my purse as I swiftly return to Joshua.
" there you are!" He greets as he notices me.
" I was going to thank your uncle but he seemed occupied at the moment." I say as an excuse.
" you can thank him on Monday." He says sweetly. How could anyone actually think he was bad.
" Come let us go to garden I hear it is breathtaking." He announces pulling me out of my thoughts.
" I'd love too."
We walk together through the absolutely gorgeous garden full with flowers of all kinds, colours, size and shape. It was like walking on a rainbow.
He, knowing my favourite flower, picks a rose for me and places it in my hair.
" your so sweet" I say for I had seen a couple do this in this similar setting in a romance film and it gave me goosebumps on my skin when he placed in my hair and pushed back my hair behind my ear. It was an amazing feeling.
" just don't tell my friends how soft you've made me"
" made you!?"
" you know when you spend time with the wrong crowd you tend to act like them. You didn't think I would purposely fail my tests." He explains.
" oh. " My portable FSCP is vibrating so I have to make an excuse.
" being with you made me ch......"
I cut him off by excusing myself to answer the call. I feel bad for doing it but it could be the agency and they are not always patient.
I rush to the restroom and take the phone out and indeed the agency was calling. I quickly answer it an Mr. Wright's, the head of NGSC, webcam hologram appears.
" hello. Sir." I say politely.
" hello, agent Sarah, how has your suspect been?"
" fine, sir and I have much evidence to show you"
By his expression he seems happy and surprised by my words. " that is amazing. Great job. Be my my office tomorrow morning to show me"
" yes. Sir. Thank you for checking up on me."
" no. Thank you." He says then ends.
John's POV
I was so shocked by what I had seen in the bathroom. I had come to the concert and was looking for my date who said she wasn't feeling well and would be at the restroom but they were about five in the area so I may have had the wrong restroom. When I was going to leave and search some where else I saw Naomi talking to a hologram picture of a stout man saying that she had evidence. Evidence for what and why was she talking to a hologram or webcam. This was all so confusing to me but I knew something was definitely up.
I knew it was weird that she opened mr. Robertson's office without him there and was late for the line up that day. I better warn Joshua about her. I don't want him getting hurt again, it's the whole reason he was hanging out with the wrong crowd in the first place but know he is back to nice and fun Joshua I knew when his mom was alive. We've been friends for so long, since the starting of high school really, and her death really changed him.
