Chapter 20 - the full story

" I'm going to leave out a few details to this story so it doesn't seem too morbid or extremely depressing." He started off," well here goes."
"It all started when I married your mother, when we were driving away in the limo as official husband and wife, I realized that my job as a spy could end up hurting or putting her in danger, and at that time she didn't know I was a spy. But of coarse I couldn't hide or lie to her the closer I got to her and so she ended up knowing me more than anyone else.
I loved her so much so I told her my secret when we were moving into our new home. I thought then and there she would leave me but she told me that she knows he didn't lie to her the whole time they had been together for whenever I lied I did something only she noticed. She never left me and we were so happy together. We settled down and had a handsome baby boy. You.," he said smiling slightly and looking right at Joshua before he continued the story," then my job took away most of my happiness. I had been working on a case on three criminals that were kidnapping children all over America from their schools and threatening the rich parents for their money without the return of the children when some complied. I was getting in their way and so they kidnapped your mother, a horrible expression on his face as he said the sentence, he continued," we found her and the other children in Paris, France, they were being slightly poisoned and tortured for almost an entire month. I told you that your mother was on a long trip." He said looking at Joshua as he nodded.
" she took a while to get out of the hospital. She would have died if I had not had some help from spies. I decided that I needed to create a company like the one I worked for that protected people and solved cases like these. That's why this case is so important to me for I believe that those 27 girls found in the bunker dead could have lived. When Joshua was 7, he found out I was a spy by finding my tutorials for being a spy that I was using to train the spies and so knew my entire plan. He thought they were bad because they were beating people up and lying to people in order to get information. I was going to tell him that he was wrong and correct him but I started to believe that he was right. My wife got threatened again and other bad people tried to even go after you. I couldn't handle it anymore, I couldn't sleep or eat knowing that my family was never truly safe all because of me so I told your mother I had to leave and let her and you live a normal and safe life. It was hard and she tried to convince to stay even after everything she went through all because of me. I had to leave. I had plenty of time to make as many HQs as possible, recruit and train spies and runt he whole thing, with the help off the same people who helped me save your mother. You two probably want to thank them but they died a few years back. They were family and I lost them all except you." He seems out of breath when his story was done and told. Tears stained his face which was the strangest thing I could have imagined since Mr. Wright had never cried once, at least not in front of me. When I came out of my thought I saw Joshua embracing his father with a tight hug.
" I love you, dad, I may have judged you and I'm sorry" Joshua says in a soft tone to his father as they part from the hug.
"It's alright all is forgiven, and I love you more than you think. You've grown so much. I'm so proud of you." His father says with the brightest smile, wiping away tears that were once of sorrow but were now off joy.
" now that we have discussed that Henry, Danielle and Jen are coming any moment know to help you to take down these thieves."
" you should probably know that the suspect in the video ordering these men to do the theft is your wives' brother"
" he is her half brother thus not related at all. But I am quite aware of that situation. He surely must pay for what he has done. Justice must be gained and he shall be shine no mercy and or nepotism." He responded assertively and not as harsh as his words had seemed.
" I never liked her brother for one minute and neither did she. I still feel a bit sad to have to do this but not doing this is definitely worse."
" The men are planning to strike at midnight. When the museum is closed. I realized this when I used a purple Ishtar on the map evidence he had showing the writing of invisible ink.
" great job, sir." I said impressed.

" she's awesome and amazing." Joshua joined in, making me blush at his compliment.
