A Spy love story

Chapter 19

I woke up, seeing the empty bed belonging to Joshua. I wondered where he was. Before I could overthink it, he came out of the bathroom ready in a black shirt and jeans.
" why are you ready so soon, we leave in like," I said glancing my alarm clock. " 20 minutes!!!!!!" I literally jump at the shock of having that little time to meet my boss.
" I couldn't bring myself up to waking you up, plus I couldn't sleep I was too excited, but I do like how peaceful and cute you look when you sleep." He rushes words excitedly like he was about to explode.
" relax. Okay. I'm going to get ready so I won't be late if you see a limo outside the hotel with a driver holding up a card with lots of numbers just say," stopping to think what he should say.
" it's time to go." We both say together. We smile at each other keeping our deep gaze at each other as I go into the bathroom almost bumping hard into the wall closest to the bathroom door.
I quickly bathe and change into a sweet little sundress- looking shirt and jeans along with a scarf and woolen red coat to keep warm since it was colder and colder and I was always easily cold since young. It was my spy weakness (the words of my dad, yet he didn't seem to have a spy weakness, but if think it said it was his family was his obvious weakness.)
When I was putting my spy gear into my reticule/handbag so that we could be both ready, Joshua yelled" it's time to go."
I shoved the rest of the equipment cautiously and swiftly and ran out of the room at his words. I dragged him out of the room as I closed the hotel room with the card. " your dad has a tight schedule all the time so we want to get there on time." I say after seeing his confused expression.
" hello. Phillip"
" madam. Sarah" he said opening the door for both of us as we quickly climbed in. Ladies first.
Phillip got to the stirring wheel quickly and started driving.
" so where exactly are we going?." He asks while we enter a forest area with tall pine trees that block out views of the city.
" it's so secretive, I don't even know but don't worry headquarters are always in seclusive creepy places like this and I bet it's disguised by something very simple or someplace that looks morbid." I say assuring him. He than puts his hand over mine making my stomach full up with butterflies at his touch.
" Were hear!" Phillip exclaimed and as I had predicted it was a morbid tiny shed in the middle of the wood that looked dilapidated and eaten by termites.
" but what if someone tries to get in?"
" too many booby traps, sense detectors and trip wires and things like that." I said casually.
" your awesome."
" well, thank you but if you think that's awesome. Watch this." I say taking a clothe gadget and pressing three codes and what I want then placing the device directly in front of my body as a projected holographic wide laser moves from the top of my head to the bottom of my feet as instantly my clothes is changed into my black spy jumpsuit that is decorated with strips of magenta hear and there.
" wow. That is so cool."
" it is, isn't it. No come on I seriously can't be late." I say dragging him to the front of the tiny shed. I feel over the area knocking at the wood until I hear the hollow surface then press the surface hard revealing a button. I press the button and the a hand scan recorder appears in the buttons place with a futuristic white surface around the hand holder. I press my hand,after taking off my gloves, against the hand holder and suddenly the floor that was in front of the shed opens up making Joshua and I fall down what seemed like a bottom less pit.
They landed on a hard white surface. Joshua got up and held out his hand to assist me up as well. When I was up, I dusted off my suit and looked around. The room was so white and spongy and futuristic and different.
" do you like the new office." Joshua and I both jump at the deep tone as a white chair turns around revealing who had spoken. It was Mr. Wright. His chair had camouflaged with the wall and thus was hard to recognize.
" it's different."
" I know but I like it."
" son, your here." He said smiling widely as he got up and walked up to Joshua reaching out his hands to hug him. At first Joshua was hesitant but then he gave in and hugged him back, for you could tell he loved and needed his father.
" I made time out of my busy schedule to explain to you why I left you and your mother. It needs to be said before my chest sweets up from keeping it from you, for all these years.
