I feel like right now I have the motivation and inspiration to write another one shot and since Cody is next on my list (that's kinda good cause the topic somehow suits my mood today) I'll just continue with him

23. What happened to you?

A new day is always a new beginning, but how this new start is used, is in your responsibility.

Being the new Padawan of the great Obiwan Kenobi, you felt proud. Proud of not being a youngling anymore. Pround to be part of a greater force. Proud to be assigned to one of the best jedi you ever met and proud of doing the thing you loved the most: Helping people and hopefully help ending a long and gruesome war.

Today was your new beginning. It was the day master Kenobi brought you to his command ship to get used to everything and also meet his troops.

You personally have heard a lot of stories about the 212th and their achievements so you were even more excited to meet everyone in person.

As soon as Master Kenobi and you arrived on the command ship, you couldn't stop looking around and admiring its beauty. The huge corridors, all these gunships and especially the busy people running around amazed you the most.

"Come on (Y/N). You gotta meet my troops", Master Obiwan said smiling while leading you into another huge room where a lot of people were who all looked the same.

Speaking up to get everyone's attention your master introduced you

"Listen up! Meet (Y/N), my new padawan." you looked around the room and saw that you got everyones attention. Smiling into the round you commented "Hey boys." then master Kenobi continued as one trooper made his way towards you "(Y/N), meet my Commander."

"Nice to meet you General. I'm Commander Cody" he saluted.

"Cody would you please be so kind and show her around?" Obiwan asked him

"Sir yes sir"

The ship was even bigger than you thought in the beginning. Large corridors which just didn't seem to end and also looked all the same. Then there were Huge control rooms. They were quite impressive especially the bridge and command room. But Cody also showed you the more fun parts of the ship like the plenty gyms they had and the cantina. All in all Cody's tour was really impressive and until now you haven't even seen half of the whole ship. As if Cody knew that you were dying of hunger, he walked over to the counter of the cantina and came back with two plates full of food and some drinks. 

„Thanks Commander" you Said smiling while sitting down on the bench so you could face him. 

„You can call me Cody when off duty" he just replied and took off the helmet he wore all the time and what you saw really pleased you... damn Cody was handsome you thought but immediately banned this thought into the back of your head.

One thing that really stood out was the scar over his left eye that nearly made its way over the whole left side of his face. Based on the color of the scar you could tell that it's been a while since he got it. Being the interested person you were you couldn't resist but ask

„If I may ask Commander erm Cody...What happened to you? How did you get that scar?" 

„ohhh" he touched the scar with his left hand as if he experienced the situation over and over again in his mind, leaving him with a pained expression.
