(Pic of Douche above)

So my suitcases were packed and the plane ticket was tucked safely in my handbag, but I couldn't shake the feeling like something was missing, like I had forgotten something? Ahh that's right, I remember now, its because I am being shipped off to The other side of the pond before being able to clear things up with Sam and Josh

Looking in the mirror I sighed, so much for the summer break of a life time, so much for spending the days at the beach with my best friend and the nights in the arms of my true love, Christmas was just a few short weeks away and I was saddened by the thought that mum would spend it alone.

I had lost a fair bit of weight in just four days, my once snug skinny blue jeans now hung loosely off my hips and thighs. My once sparkly brown eyes were now dull and lifeless as was my blonde hair. I wanted to know how long I would feel like this?

Mum was at work as per usual so she had called me a cab to take me to the airport, waiting on the top step to my porch I tried not to cry. Man in the last few days I had become a real cry baby, it was so not my style. All I wanted to do was talk to Josh, but if I did the horrid picture of Parker, the name still makes me shiver, would be sent to him. The cops still hadn't located him, even though the frigging bitch Courtney had given the lamest alibi for him.

The one thought other than why Parkers eyes still haunted my vision, how is rough touch still bruised my body making person to person contact impossible, I wanted to ask Josh why? Why Karen? Why didn't he fight for me? And why has he avoided me? I knew the answers would probably break my heart but I thought I deserved them.

Lost in my own thoughts I didn't notice Sam walking up my driveway or taking a seat beside me, I didn't notice the way her eyes widened as she saw my now slightly faded bruises or the way her hands balled into tight fists as she watched fresh tears drip down my makeup free face. I was lost in thought, lost in my own nightmare.

"Riley" she cried, making me jump out of my skin,

"What are they" I knew she was referring to the unsightly marks on my throat. I was surprised she didn't know about them, I was sure my mum would have filled her in. I pulled at the collar of my blouse trying to hide them even though I knew she had already seen enough.

"Sam" it was all I could say before I was wrapped into a tight embrace and was being rocked back and forth softly.

"Shhh its ok" Sam soothed as she softly patted my hair and I allowed my tears to flow. For four days I had kept her away, had somewhat blamed her for what Parker had done to me, but right now, right now she was being my pillar of strength.

"Riley what the hell happened, where did you get those marks and why the fuck is Josh with slut bags?" Sam finally asked when my sobbing subsided, looking into her eyes I saw her concern and it caused me to lose it again.

"I did want to" I sobbed as she softly wiped away the tears falling down my cheeks.

"I love him Sam, If I didn't she would show them, he forced me, he did these" I cried with an empty heart. Sam just resumed rocking me and trying her best to calm my hysteria.

Before long a honk sounded from my drive and when I looked up I saw the cab waiting for me. Standing I picked up my bag and suitcase and turned to Sam.

"I have to go now, mum is sending me to my dads for I don't know how long" Sam just looked at me with a shocked expression but did not say anything.

Once in the cab I wound down the window and looked my best friend in the eye, tears were falling down her face and her shoulders were hunched.

"Sam" I said,

"On my desk is a letter, it explains everything" and with that I nodded to the cabbie and he drove away from my house and my sad best friend.

The airport was packed, of course being the first week of the so close to Christmas every- one was off to some vacation spot with either friends of family, not me though, I thought sourly, no I was being shipped off to somewhere in the USA. The line for check in was long and I waited with a swarm of holiday makers, staring at my feet I only moved as the line did and refused to look at anyone or anything around me.

Just as I was nearing the front of the queue, I was rudely pushed aside by someone. Looking up with an evil stare I scowled at the intruder. There stood a guy who must have been painted by the gods and carved out of gold, he was beautifully handsome.

He was dressed neatly in pressed black slacks and a bale blue button up top with the sleeves rolled above his elbows, I admired the way his muscles still showed through the material and his dark tan glowed.

"Are you right" I spat not wanting to show I was in awe of his looks

"Perfectly, thank you little darlin'" he replied with a wink, my blood boiled and my fists clenched

"The end of the line is that a way"

"Oh why thank you, I did notice that but I don't like waiting" his simple yet smug reply burnt at my patience

"Well barging in when I have been in line for an hour, is not at all polite so if you don't mind" I hissed

"FUCK OFF"

His body rolled back with my harsh words but his face stayed the same, looking me up and down he just remained rudely in front staring at me,

"Wow what a lady" he chuckled at my comment

"Who said I am a lady" I hissed

"Well you sure look like one sugar britches" he admired scanning my body with his eyes again

"God jerkoff take a picture" I snapped, his eyes were amazing but right now I was a little too peeved to really care. He simply laughed and refused to budge.

When the check in lady called next I barged into him as hard as I could and tried in vain to get to her before he did.

"Um hello" she smiled somewhat confused at the fact there were two of us in front of her, both holding out our tickets

"Travelling together?" she asked,

"No" I spat as he replied yes, she blushed in confusion and looked at him with big brown eyes

"Don't listen to her" he added

"My darling 'ere gets nervous before flying, so she tends to be a little snappy" his matter of fact expression won the check in lady's vote and she proceeded to check us in with a smile.

"Oh I see here you have been given separate seating" she suddenly piped in as I was glaring at the rude boy.

"Would you like me to change it so you are seated together?" my mouth dropped open and as I went to tell her no the idiot nodded his head

"Oh that would be wonderful" he replied with southern charm, argh now I had to sit with the douche until my stop over in Hong Kong.

The check in lady smiled and typed on her computer whilst I dreamt of grabbing the monitor and smashing it over the arseholes smug head. He simply winked at me and remained silent.

"Here you go, now I hope you have a lovely flight and enjoy your time with us" she sang happily as she handed me and the douches tickets. Scowling at the piece of paper I stormed off away from him.
