"Shit Riley" Tilly screeched loudly grabbing for her top and scuttling away from me. Finally she was off me, after spending countless minutes trying to convince Tilly that she was too young for me, my lap rejoiced with the weight being gone and my back could straighten again, for a thin girl she sure had some strength about her.
"God damn it, haven't you ever heard of knocking?" I cursed as Riley kept laughing.
This was not how I wanted to get to know the blonde beauty from the plane. Right now she thought I was with her younger cousin and believe me even though Tilly was a looker, that was the last thing I wanted her to think.
"It aint what your thinkin'" I snapped a little peeved by the fact she was still in stitches
"Sure sure, whatever" she managed to say between breaths.
"Stop your cacklin' you have to let me at least try to explain" I snapped again
"What you do with Tilly is your issue mister, I just want to find the grooming brushes" she straightened up and had stopped laughing, her eyes were sparkling in humour and her smug grin was directed at me.
"So if you don't mind 'stud'" she said using air quotes, "where the hell are they so I can leave you to get back to whatever it was you were doing" she waved her thin arms from my direction to Tilly's. Her voice dripped in venom and it hurt my pride seeing and hearing her like that, she was way too beautiful for that attitude.
"Matilda, get dressed then go on home and help your mumma" I ordered the embarrassed girl that was huddling in the corner. She nodded and slipped back into her clothes, never once taking her eyes off Riley.
Once she was dressed she made a step towards me but stopped, her eyes searched my face and upon finding no emotions she sniffed then ran from the room. I didn't bother to watch her leave.
Standing and striding to the door I stopped beside Riley and lent to whisper in her ear, I noticed her shiver from my closeness and I frowned with confusion as she tended visibly. She was acting like an unbroke filly, scattered and un tame, but oh so beautiful. She would make and cowboy yearn to be the one to tame and ride her, pun intended.
"What I want to do is with you and not with her" I smiled running a finger down a frost reddened cheek.
Her breath hitched and I swear I could hear her heart beat accelerate, or maybe it was just mine.
Brushing past her I walked up to the tack room and pushed open the door. Upon turning around I smirked happily as I caught Riley's eyes roaming over my body
"Like what you seeing sugar?" I teased as she was unaware I had caught her, and as her eyes roamed my body I found mine doing the same to her.
"Nah I have seen better" she quickly replied and scowled at me. Her false bravado was obvious but I knew she wasn't going to tell me why she had so many walls erected.
I smiled at the blush that swept over her cheeks and shook my head.
"Sure you have honey"
Crossing her long arms over her chest she stalked past me into the room and leaned over to pick up a bucket of brushes. I groaned inwardly as her jeans pulled tight over her rear and her top hitched up over her toned torso revealing a flash of skin that I suddenly yearned to touch.
Balling my hands up to stop myself from reaching out to her, I watched as her hair fell over her shoulder and she blew out a breath to move a strand that had fallen over her face.
"What are your plans?" I asked as she barged back passed me knocking me heavily into the doorway.
"Going for a ride, so if you could not be a jerk for five minutes, be a champ and get me Andy's gear?" she snapped at me without diverting her attention from the bay mare
