After examining my hand carefully before taking it, he stands, instantly exceeding my own height and for a moment, neither of us speak. It's just him.. And me.
Anyone looking in might think that we were rehearsing a scene for an upcoming movie.
With the way his eyes are searching mine right now, even I am starting to wonder if this isn't a joke or something.
Looking up at him, I realise I haven't missed this, the way he towers over me when we are on set; it always left me feeling awkward and confused.
I know it's only acting but God, he can be so intense.
The amount of intimate scenes we have shared and not once have we discussed how it made us feel.
You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but the longer we stand here saying nothing, the more uncomfortable I feel. I'm about to break the ice but he beats me to it, speaking first.
"Actually. I'm gonna go and have a quick shower." He informs me whilst letting go of my hand.
"Oh? Okay." I say, heading over to the bedside table and picking up a book, thankful to be out of that unnerving situation.
"Did you still want to watch a movie? Only I thought it might help to take your mind off things." I turn back around to face him.
"That was the plan." He smiles.
"So you can escape from reality for a little while?" I add.
"Pretty much." He doesn't argue with that.
"Okay well, I'll either be here on my bed or downstairs waiting."
"What, while reading your book?" He steps forward and takes it from me. "Escaping reality." He repeats my words, holding the book up.
I laugh. "Yep." Taking the book back from him and walking away.
"Enjoy your shower!" I call over my shoulder.

Once downstairs, I switch on the TV and sink back into the mediocre sofa while I wait for Hero.
My plan had been to read while I wait, but with every passing minute, I found myself getting more and more nervous as my mind chose to focus only on when he would make an appearance.
By the time he does appear, I have read the same darn line more times than I care to count and yet I still don't really know what it says.
"Have you decided?" The sound of his calm and collected voice carried across the room.
"Decided?" I frown and close my book, shifting my body so that I am facing him.
"You know, on a movie." He takes the remote and sits down beside me.
After a few seconds, the familiar and somewhat comforting Netflix logo displays on the large screen in front of us.
"Wait, I get to choose?" I say, adjusting in my seat some more.
Surely he wouldn't want to risk being stuck watching some soppy romantic movie for the next couple of hours.. Not that I would actually pick anything like that, I wouldn't feel comfortable!
"Okay.." I take the remote from his hands. "What about a comedy?" I begin to flick through a list of popular movies, all of which were bound to get him laughing in no time.
"Nah. Pass." The lack of interest was evident in his tone, that and the fact he lifted his lip and then turned to face me.
"Okay.. How about.. One of these?" I begin to flick through a row of horror movies that are suggestion based on what someone else had watched previously.
