Hero's POV:

I have no idea what the time is, all I know is that I need to get us back and fast.

So far, I can only think of one thing and I know that she won't like it, but the truth is, we don't really have any other option and I can't put it off any longer.

Earlier, I had considered getting a taxi back but that was before I had pulled out my phone and seen how much battery I had, or rather the lack of.

I even considered asking Jo to borrow her phone but I know she wouldn't have been keen on the idea and would've most likely shut it straight down the second it was suggested.

If I had had some battery I could have just ordered an Uber without her knowing until it had turned up.

That way, she would've been put on the spot and forced to make a choice.

I know she wouldn't have been happy about it but at least we would have been back at the Airbnb by now.

"So?" Jo asks, disturbing my inner monologue.

"So..?" I repeat.

"So what are we doing, Hero?" She comes to a halt and faces me.

I stop and turn to face her too.

"You'll see, come on." I try to take her by the hand and pull her, only she doesn't move leaving me sighing out of frustration.

"Would you just trust me?" I don't even try to hide how irritated I am.

She closes her eyes and sighs before letting me lead the way again.

"Come on, stay close." I say, putting my arm around her.

Luckily, I have gotten to know these streets pretty well.

What with all the previous movie events and various different filming locations, it doesn't take me long to find what I'm looking for.

"A bus stop?! Hero, why are we at a bus stop?!?"

I sigh again and pretend I can't hear her, looking at anything but her, only she's having none of it.

Her warm hands find my face and force me to look at her again, the same way she had done on the beach earlier so that I would see the sunset.

"Jo.." I say her name.

"What?" Her eyes desperately search mine.

"You're squishing me.." I smirk, not that she can see it.

Rolling her eyes she let's go and looks the other way, not quick enough for me to see that she's smiling, however.

Thankfully, a bus pulls alongside and I'm quick to pull up my mask and step forward as soon as the doors open.
