The day had come. The reminder popped up on my phone when I first opened it in the morning. It's bait time. I took a breath and walked downstairs. The room quieted down when I walked in. It's like they were talking about me. Who am I kidding... they probably were.
"Morning." I said to them as I walked into the kitchen. I needed coffee.
Saeyoung and Yoosung walked in shortly after.
"Hey babe." Saeyoung said quietly.
"Hi." I said back cooly, trying to mask my emotions.
"How are you feeling?" Yoosung asked me.
"I'm fine. You have a plan. We will be in and out. Nothing to worry about." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Ok... we will leave in an hour or so and drop you off around 200 or so meters away." Saeyoung told me.
I nodded and walked into the living room.
"Y/n wait!" Yoosung called.
I stoped and turned around when he pulled me into a tight hug. I immediately hugged him back and let the tears that were forming in my eyes fall.
"You got this." He told me.
I squeezed his torso and he buried his head in my neck.
"Please be careful." I told him.
"When am I ever not careful?" He said smiling.
I smiled at him and turned to go into the living room. Jaehee patted the seat beside her and I sat down. She linked her arm with mine and put her head on my shoulder.
"You ok?" She whispered.
I shook my head, being honest with her.
"Do you need anything?" She asked.
I shook my head again. She squeezed my arm and I felt tears prick my eyes again. I was grateful for her. She had always been there to stand up for me and it was always nice to have another female in the room. The guys were kind but they could sometimes act like children. The hour passed by fast and what felt like seconds ended up being an hour and we were in the car.
"I'll need your phone..." Saeyoung said to me softly.
I nodded and handed him the device. My heart was racing in my chest and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I was walking through the front door of the one person I had been working towards avoiding and I couldn't help but be nervous.
"You remember the plan?" He asked me, putting a hand on my lap.
I interlocked our fingers and sighed.
"I'll walk in and tell him I was scared for their safety. I'll listen to what he has to say and I'll wait for you." I repeated what he had been telling me.
"Good."
We sat in silence for the next few minutes until he put the car in park. I sighed softly, the tears in my eyes threatening to fall again.
"Please please be careful." I told him.
He smiled at me, "For you? Anything."
I leaned over and kissed him with everything in me. I never wanted to leave this moment. His fingers tangled in my hair and mine wrapped around his waist. I reluctantly let go and got out of the car wrapping my fingers around the necklace Saeyoung had given me for our anniversary a few months ago. It was gold heart with the numbers 606, which is what he sometimes called me.
"Good luck." He smiled at me.
I started walking towards the building. My heart was in my throat and I kept thinking about how Vanderwood referred to me as a "prize". I pushed forwards until I saw it. I worked up some tears, which wasn't very hard, for show and walked onto the driveway.
The cameras all pointed at me as I walked up the gravel path. I didn't slow down. I had to continue. If all eyes were on me then no eyes were on the rest of the group. I got to the door and raised my hand to knock when the door opened."Well isn't this a fun surprise." Saeran greeted me sickly.
"If I surrender will you leave them alone?" I questioned.
"You know what I just might." He told me, still shocked at my appearance.
He ushered me inside and with hesitation I followed.
"What a brave brave girl." He said to me.
It took all my strength not to punch him in the face.
"I must asked, what swayed you to come here? Cause I can almost guarantee it wasn't my rugged good looks. As handsome as I am somehow you fell for my idiot brother. So what was the reasoning for your appearance doll?" He asked me.
My stomach lurched at the nickname.
"I wanted them to be safe. I didn't tell them I was coming. They would have tried to stop me but I was scared for their safety." I told him, begging he would believe me.
"Interesting... well let's get you searched. Can't have you telling my precious brother where you are." He told me, grabbing my arm and pulling me along.
I was praying the group had made it in safely. I just needed to do my job and keep him distracted. He pulled me into a large open room filled with red and white roses.
"What are the flowers for?" I asked hesitantly.
"I send them to myself. Gotta stay fresh." He winked at me.
I bit my tongue trying not to seem too cocky. Suddenly alarms started blaring.
"No!" Saeran yelled, running over to a small computer and watching the monitor.
"You bitch! This was a ploy!" He screamed at me, running out of the room.
I ran after him in hopes of somehow warning the others.
"Assholes!" Saeran screamed down a hall way.
He had gotten well ahead of me and my heart started racing again. I reached the room he was in and his gun was pointed at Yoosung.
"You think you get to come into my house and kill my guards without my consent?" He yelled at Yoosung.
I looked around for the others and saw standing a bit behind Yoosung.
"Saeran don't!" I pleased, "Please!"
"You have lost your right to beg doll."
Yoosung took a step forward and I saw Saeran's eyes fill with rage.
"YOOSUNG NO!"
Bang!
