(y/n)'s pov

How in the hell? How does he even know my name? Am I missing something? I don't think there is a scene like that in the anime. Levi let go of the hug and looked at me seeing that I'm confused and lost in thoughts.

I gather up courage and say, 'Cap.. captain, do you know me from somewhere?' When he hears my question, he moves his hands from me and acts like nothing happened.

'Sorry, I mistook you with someone I knew.' He said, going back to his usual cold self. Yeah, but how did he know about my name? I'll have to ask him later when I join the survey corps.

'(y/n) we have to retreat back to take care of our wounds. You got a slash on your right arm.' Armin called out to me to follow them. I didn't know there was a wound until Armin pointed it out. Must have got it while attacking the titans

'Your name is (y/n)? What is your full name, cadet? How old are you?' Levi asks, making me look at him.

'The name's (y/n) (l/n), sir, and I'm 19 years old.'

'Ok, move on with your friends to treat your wound.'

I salute to him in respect and excuse myself to help Armin carry Eren. When I reach the wall Armin comes to me and says, 'What's with him suddenly hugging you? (y/n) do you guys know each other?'

'No, I didn't know him, I mean I know he's humanity's strongest soldier but not enough to embrace each other. He said he thought I was someone he knew before.'

'You're bleeding a lot, (y/n). I'll help bandage you up.' Armin says as he goes to find some bandages for my wound. I'm glad I save some people that die in the anime. I hope saving them is not a wrong choice to make. I don't want to be the one who changes the storyline or else I won't know what happens if that happens.

*a week later*

It's already been a week since we have won the titan for the first time. Many soldiers died but I managed to save some people but it wasn't enough. I keep breaking my promise. I have to train harder and make a plan on the coming expedition. There's gonna be a lot of loss. I have to make the loss lesser than in the anime.

Eren was prisoned underground, because people think he is a spy or one of the bad guys. It's not surprising that they think him that way. Today, I was told by Sir Keith that Commander Erwin Smith asked for me to come to his office around afternoon.

I still have time before I have to go, might as well make sure I look clean. During these days I always had nightmares whenever I try to sleep. In those nightmares I saw the people I didn't save. I blame myself every time. I keep this to myself because I don't want to be a burden to others.

As noon came, I went on my way to Commander Erwin. I knock on the office's door and let him know that I'm here.

'It's (y/n), sir.'

'You can come in. Just right on time. We are just talking about you.'

'About me?' There I saw Captain Ian, talking with Commander Erwin. 'Captain Ian, I didn't know you were here.' I say as I bow to him.

'No need to bow to me. I was just telling Erwin that you save our lives back there on that day. I really appreciate you saving us, you also save Mitabi's group from the titans, too.

'You don't have to say that, Captain. I'm just doing what I have to. Thanks for the compliment, sir.' I bow again as a gesture that I'm grateful that he acknowledged me. 'Then, Erwin I'll be going on now. It was a nice chat. Also I'll see u again in the future, (y/n).' I nodded back at him with respect.
