*The following week on Monday afternoon Katie is too busy doing homework to take Zoey for a walk so the young dog brings her leash to James whose on the couch watching a hockey game. She whines to get his attention but he ignores her so she barks and he just turns up the volume. She drops the leash in his lap which finally makes him look at her and frown*

Go away Zoey. I'm busy *She whines cocking her head not understanding why he's mad*

Logan: James all she wanted was to be walked. Katie is doing homework.

James:(sighs) Fine *Hooks up the leash and leaves out then returns 5 minutes later*

There you've been walked. Now leave me alone

Katie: Why are you being so mean to her? This sweet girl has done nothing wrong. Jerkface! *Leaves out to find Tyler and Indy*

*Two hours later she returns still mad at James*

James: I'm sorry Katie. I never meant to be mean to Zoey

Katie: Don't you care about her?

James: Of course I do. I'm sorry

Katie: Say you're sorry to Zoey

James: What?

Katie: You heard me. Apologize to her

James: She's a dog

Katie:(sarcasm) And I'm a unicorn princess. Just do it!

James:(sighs) Zoey I'm sorry I was mean to you earlier *She barks and wags her tail*

Katie: We both forgive you

James: Thanks

*The next day at Ashley's school during gym class she's having baseball practice. She's the batter at the moment and a nice boy named Jayden has befriended her and is the pitcher. He throws the ball and she strikes out twice. On the third pitch his aim is stronger then he expected it to be and as if it was in slow motion the ball targets Ashley's leg and she collapses to the ground screaming in pain holding her knee. He's screaming for her to get up as he runs to her aid. She can't move at all. One of the other players alert the coach. Frankie is petrified and goes to her whining*

*Ashley's POV*

I'm at the bat. I've struck out twice. This is my last chance as Jayden pitches the ball. Suddenly everything is in slow motion as the ball heads toward not the bat but my leg. I feel an enormous amount of pain in my right knee. I lose my balance and fall to the ground. I hear Jayden begging me to get up. He's panicking and keeps repeating I'm so sorry over and over again. Frankie is having a fit. He doesn't know what's going on. I hold my knee to let my teammates know I'm really hurt. I try to stand but my leg just won't let me. I stay where I am. I need help

*Jayden's POV*

I'm on my third pitch. I see the ball slowly going the wrong way. It hits Ashley's knee. She goes down screaming. Her sweet little dog Frankie is so upset and scared. I yell words of encouragement for her to stand up. I keep apologizing. My new friend is hurt and it's all my fault. All my fault

*The coach arrives and brings Ashley to the nurse's office. She's given an ice pack but needs more medical attention and is taken to the hospital. Soon her parents arrive. Her knee is X-rayed and is surprisingly not broken just sprained*

*She texts Logan. He and guys arrive 30 minutes later and have to sit in the waiting room*

*Logan's POV*
